I like doing research before I type so I did on the assistants, the “young” assistant had multiple AA at Louisville and the number 1 offense in the ACC, last yr his first as hitting coach 2nd in the sec games only and 4th overall, with some of the best stats in LSU history with 2 AA hitters . LSU hadn’t had a AA hitter since Pleasants in her Freshman yr..clearly qualified. The number 2 asst played at LSU and was a volunteer for yrs before being promoted, also a GA at Kentucky…clearly qualified..Taylor Pleasants was a AA and Student Coach last yr, she is perfect for a 4th coach role..just fyi

Beth and the Tigers have gone full McMahon this weekend, losing a record five games in four days. They were obliterated 0-8 in six innings by UCLA this morning.

Beth I hear you calling... you must geaux.

Nobody said the little guy can't coach. What was said is that she likes to keep people under her she can control.

That’s every head coach at this level, I don’t like to guess at the dynamic without being in the room

I don’t care who LSU hires but to hire a guy whose only qualification was he beat LSU is kinda funny! After beating LSU he was humiliated by Nebraska and this year got beat by LA Tech. If La Tech beat LSU if he were the coach this board would melt down.

I doubt he’d go to LSU anyway, that said his girls play the game hard and give really solid effort. All things LSU does zero of. He has SLU ranked in the top 25. To say the man can’t coach at LSU is a really poor take. LSU could easily hire much worse.

They won’t be in the top 25 this week and none the rest of the year I doubt. As far as the way his team plays ?? I agree with. The way a team plays is a direct reflection on the head coach no one else!! The question with Fremin is could he recruit at a national level to compete with likes of OU, Texas Tennessee, et al! This isn’t football you aren’t competing with the majority Louisiana kids

It’s SLU. He got them national respect. SLU. Beth just for the most part ignores La. Malloy for ‘27 and Parkviews freshman pitcher will be a top 20 pitcher in ‘29 I’m willing to bet Beth doesn’t look that way at all. Can you make a team of all La kids? No. But I’d think more than 3 are more than capable of playing for LSU. These kids all play on the same circuits, Beth just doesn’t see it that way and refuses to adjust or care.

Spins it next level and now she’s hitting 65 with that spin. Ole Miss got a good one. We’ve played her travel team twice. Scored 1 run on her. She’s incredible.

She is incredible.

I saw her the day after she committed to Ole Miss.

She was in cages working on her bunting.

She is relentless and has an awesome family.

LSU shite the bed missing out on her.

Which one?

The lefty that just ran through Live Oak and John Curtis this week?

Don’t sleep on the lefty. She’s unbelievable.

So I looked at the OU roster and I was thinking surely they have a ton of Oklahoma kids, they have 2 and only 1 plays and she is a true Freshman. I also looked at signing classes and kids committed and I saw the pitchers committed and they were offered by Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, UCLA…which of those pitchers would you not wanted for the local kid? Local I’m all for if they are elite like the football players we have…would you pass on a California 5 star DT for a 3 star local kid? I wouldn’t…if the kid is local and better than a somewhere else kid that they can sign then go get her without a doubt but I can assure you lane will not recruit a kid just because a kid is local and neither should softball.. edit: I did some research on the Malloy kid, according to her bio on sports recruits she is 63 with a good change, committed to Ole Miss, the kid LSU took Sydney Gongolik, top 3 pitcher in the country and top 10 overall, throws 71 and hit over 25 hrs last yr with offers from every single SEC team and UCLA, who would you have taken?

I’ve seen them both.

I’ll take Miles.

I’ll bookmark this post for when the Calvary girl is dominating at GA, Malloy is dominating at Ole Miss and Beth is looking for a job.

I get wha you are saying, but Heavener was the top pitcher in the country.

How has Beth developed her?

If I'm not mistaken, Heavener pitched a no-hitter in her first LSU game and has been good, but not dominating since , so rankings don't mean to much to me.

I'm just tired of Beth calling a 10 ft high riser nearly everytime we have two strikes on a batter. The only pitcher Beth can "kind of" develop is a drop ball pitcher, but they walk so many hitters, it's just not worth it.

We probably need to sign more Louisiana players but you have to keep the California pipeline open.

That’s the fertile hunting ground. After UCLA takes its pick there’s still plenty enough out there to build a WCWS team.

I’ve not seen either but what I do know is 1 could have went to any sec school and 1 couldn’t.. I’ll take the one that Mike White, Patty Gasso, Karen Weekly and Tim Walton wanted…on the Calvary kid how do you know they didn’t offer her? Maybe she wanted to go to Georgia?? Btw, she is in a different class than Gongolik. I’ll have to research that class signees for LSU and compare to the Calvary kid. As far as the coach, I have no dog in the fight and I don’t advocate for someone getting fired
