I just don't see Walton leaving a situation like his. The man is set these next 5-6 years and was already suppose to get another raise.
I don't see Texas paying that kind of money for just a softball program. Its already crazy that Gasso makes a million in a sport that doesn't drive a whole lot of money. Although their program brings a lot of national publicity to the university

Don't discount the Walton to Texas rumors just yet. The new AD there will spend the money to bring a big name coach to the forty acres. Texas is just arrogant enough to want to out bid OU in any sport. Walton's name has been tied to taking that job for several years. I doubt he makes a move, but don't dismiss the possibility just yet as my sources here say they will go After him.

I don't doubt Texas will spend money, although their new AD seems to mean business about being successful. This one seems to have balls and will spend on putting a good product out there.
Texas though has a history of talking big but then the opposite happens.
I think it would be dumb to discount the possibility if Texas opens the checkbook, I just don't think its likely. Money talks though sometimes....

Georgia Clark is a true slugger
But we will see soon enough how she does at this level. Based off travel ball and the level of competition she has faced, she is definitely the most proven bat as of now.
For comparison, she IMO is a better power hitter than Sunseri. And we all know how powerful Sunseri is. Clark usually hits for average as well.
Texas Bombers will be treating LSU really well over the next year or two between Georgia Clark, Taylor Pleasants, and Anna Jones.

It's disappointing, but she just hasn't fit in at any one particular position. Doyle is a better first baseman, her hitting hasn't quite ever taken off and she's pretty slow. I really like Sydney and wish you would have work out here. I wish you the best of luck wherever she moves on to

They are just very good in every aspect of the game. King has taken it to a whole other level. They have some kids on that team who are only freshmen and are already playing and producing like an upperclassmen.

had damn good pitching for years with waldrop, burroughs, king and now hanson. have to see what abby evans does for them next year IF anything. she will be a senior. lonni can recruit. yes their hitting is excellent.

They bring in Kathryn Sandercock next year, now that is an elite pitcher.
