I don’t know that people understand how much we underachieved the last two years due to coaching

Brian Kelly will not go 7-5 or worse with our roster . Bookmark this and ban me if I’m wrong. It’s just not happening, o line should be at least average . If that’s the case then we will be plenty good on offense and the d should be fine if the transfers in the secondary are close to what they were at their previous schools

How can you think we won’t be much better with this staff?

The easiest under in history is LSU won't win 7 games this year?

We won 6 last year and were fricking terrible.

If you can't find 7 wins on this schedule

quote:

FSU (New Orleans)
Southern
Mississippi State
New Mexico
@Auburn
Tennessee
@Florida
Ole Miss
Alabama
@Arkansas
UAB
@A&m

Then you are a giant pussy.

I could easily see us winning 10 this year. Who’s going to beat us? Sunbelt Billy and his ULL all star staff? Auburn is in shambles, Tennessee is Tennessee, A&M will be 8-4 yet again with terrible QB play after their 80th consecutive offseason championship, and I’m not buying Ed Orgeron 2.0 at Arkansas.

I’m sure we’ll drop a few, but I’m really not feeling bad about our schedule. I just don’t see how we could possibly win fewer than 7 in any scenario

You’re literally going off of name recognition and nothing else. Auburn will be terrible this year and has recruited terribly, Florida will suck under Napier, and Tennessee will suck too. You don’t even keep up with football

You are simply a glass half empty guy. Or been burned in the past. Either way, completely understand.

FSU - I have seen nothing at all that makes me think that they can beat LSU. And in the dome.

Auburn is an absolute dumpster fire. Hardin could be fired before the season starts, or by seasons end.

Florida - while usually a talented roster, new coaching staff. Have not had a good online in years. No true qb.

Yikes that’s interesting. I think 9 wins should be minimum goal but with adults in charge and talent 10 wouldn’t be surprising

Exactly! The second Ed Orgeron became significantly involved in the on-field strategy/play rather than being the clapping recruiting monkey is when the program went to complete shite.

In his first three seasons Aranda had complete control of the defense, and Ed has no choice but to allow his OC to run the offense. Once Aranda was gone LSU happily implemented his late 80's Miami/00's USC fan-fiction defense. That singular decision completely wrecked the program. LSU went from one of the better defenses in the country over the span of 20 years to one of the worst defenses in America in literally one season. LSU's defense wasn't all that much better in 2021 UNTIL...Lane Kiffin essentially told Ed he was a moron, causing LSU to completely change their approach going into the Alabama game. A game were LSU had one of their more dominant defensive performances in 2 years and a game LSU very much could have won. That same defense looked like a completely different unit in the final two games....because they were with their moron HC fully out of the way.

This probably isn't the deepest or most talented team LSU has fielded in the last 20 years. But they have the luxury of not having to deal with a caveman career DL coach trying to pretend he's one of the great tacticians in college football.

Because of that alone this team wins at least 7 games. Book it!
