No matter what happens, Scott Woodard I trust. If Aranda leaves or any other coaches, SW will have a plan in place.

SW will not get caught off guard, he will always be one step ahead on these type situations.

Pretty sure consulting with O would be a part of the plan....

Absolutely it would. I didn't mention that in the original post assuming we all knew that. Just saying, SW just like O said with Brady, they were ahead of those things before they started. They will never get caught off guard is all I'm saying. Never felt that way about the past AD

I love having Woodward there because he won’t let F King dictate anything and he’ll give O all the resources necesssry.

I love having O in this situation because he’s killed every single hire he’s made outside of Canada.

Yes. Too many people on here act like they know what's up.

Brady was hired 4 months before Woodward stepped on campus. Woodward had nothing to do with the Brady hire. That was all coach O - just like every other position coach hire since O was named head coach.

Isn’t he the guy who gave Jimbo 75 million to lose 5 games a year?

He’s talking about the supposed plan in place to keep Brady, not the actual Brady hire.

I’d like to think a coach/ AD at a successful football program would have some type of periodic communication going about potential staff changes though, particularly with coveted assistants like Brady, Aranda and Raymond.

In hindsight, a great move for LSU.

Has your stupid arse never had a job before to understand how these things work? If you think that multimillion dollar hiring decisions are being made by the head coach alone with no oversight then you have brain damage

Woody needs to focus on gutting the LSU compliance office

Was great for LSU.

And I think Woodward is great but it’s so easy to trigger the snow flakes on this board with early morning sarcasm.

If representation for Aranda and Brady are smart they will ride the wave of LSU to a bigger and better job somewhere down the line.
As coordinators they will make more at LSU than any mid major job.

They need to pull a Kirby Smart, Jimbo Fisher, Bob Stoops type scenario. Bide your time at big schools until a big job comes open. Do your homework, know the landscape you are getting yourself into and not jumping on the first head coach opportunity that comes along.

Once you get that first head coaching job you better have all your ducks in a row. Accepting the wrong job could ruin your prospects as a head coach forever.

Be patient and there will be plenty of opportunities down the road at bigger and better jobs while staying in your comfort zone at a program like LSU where a 3.4.5 year run could open up a lot more possibilities.

I remember when Scott was hired the narrative was Woodward was going to keep O in line and hold him accountable. My take was Scott was going to come in and back O 100% and give him the resources and support to succeed. I think they likely work very well together and from what I've hear from both is that's absolutely the case.

I think Alleva liked O because he thought he could control him ala Jerry Jones and Garrett. O and Scott have a more mutually beneficial relationship.

Alleva never seemed to get ahead of anything. He dicked around with Chavis when his contract was up for renewal as if he had a plan but when Chavis left, it was obvious that wasn’t the case.

If Orgeron doesn’t already have something in mind for when Aranda leaves, I feel much more confident that Woody would make sure he starts thinking about it.

I love this guy. The best thing he did for LSU was hire Jimbo for $75 mil at aTm.

Yep that's a prime example of poor leadership by alleva.

Honestly, and maybe I'm giving coach O a ton of credit here, but I think he earned it, I really think judging by Os decisions up to this point, he seems to be prepared ahead of time, whether the decision works out, aka Canada, he seems to always be prepared to make changes when it needs to be done. I feel very confident in our leadership. Which is a vastly different feel than 2 years ago
