I live a hour away, and headed down to CSTAT today. Other than Dixie Chicken, what is a good sports Bar to grab a bite near Kyle Field before the game?

Chicken Oil Company is solid. Plenty of TVs as well to keep up with the games

It’s a rustic TX themed burger/sandwich/nachos and beer type joint

Following. Would also appreciate any other real recommendations for things to do/see before the game. Getting there around 2.

Amico Nave is excellent. A husband and wife team and she has LA roots. Go try this or their seafood place across the street

I heard Hobdoddy is a good place for homemade burgers before the game.

Seems like it was Tim Brando that gave out the best places to eat in various towns. He was really high on one of them at Texas A&M but I don't remember which it was. So there you go.

Tacos - Fuego or Torchy’s
Burgers - Koppe Bridge or Grub
Northgate- Dixie Chicken
A little nicer - Napa Flats, Amico Nave, Marfa TX Kitchen, Juanita’s
On the way into town and close to Hwy 6 - Walk Ons or Coopers BBQ
Fine dining - probably not what you are looking for but anyway - Republic, Christopher’s, Porters.
Not really a culinary capital of the world here but should get a decent meal at any of the above.

Fuego’s is the answer if you want a huge variety and some excellent food. Everytime I have to go to CS, I try to stop there
