Not w/ larson, but with the others the year they broke the HR record he was.
The year the HR record was set was '97, Larson's only season. Hawpe was not on that team.

Baseball- Walker in a toughie, over Ben.
Football- has to be Cecil the Deisel. He was so much better than Faulk, who was damn good. Coulda been the next Bo Jackson.
Basketball- Chris Jackson in a runaway.

Shaq's not even in the same league with Chris imo.
yeah...one is still playing in the NBA and the other is playing in Japan
Shaq was a 2 time All-American, a 2 time SEC player of the year, and won the Adolph Rupp Trophy, something that Chris never did
To say they arent in the same league is fricking stupid
Here are the best season's for both players while at LSU
Chris - 30 Points, 3 Rebounds, 4 Assists
Shaq - 28 points, 15 Rebounds, 2 Assists
Yeah...not in the same league

Stats don't mean everything. In college, he was the most gifted player I've ever seen. Shaq may have been the better pro, but lotsa people speculated that CJ was gonna be the next MJ. Seemed like he could score at will. He was basically a 1 man gang as a frosh, and I recall at least 3 50 pt games- against Fla, Ole Miss, and La Tech. May have been more.

Neither does scoring. CJ was all kinds of awesome, but Shaq's one great year was more dominant than any I've seen in college basketball. But, because CJ had two years of incomparable awesomeness vs. Shaq's one year of incomparable awesomeness, I gave the nod to CJ. But it certainly was no runaway.

Chris Jackson was by far the best basketball player at LSU in the past 25 years. Shaq wasn't close. Hell you could make a case STanley Roberts was better than Shaq in college.

Baseball is tougher, but I would go with Todd Walker or Eddie Furniss

Football very hard to say, but I'll go with Laron Landry since he was a 4 year contributor and was dominant even as a freshman in a national championship year. You could make a case for Dorsey or Faneca maybe. Josh Reed would also have to be in the mix

Collins was better than Faulk (at LSU) for the short time he was there- no question.

Awesome player and an awesome guy. Put my Jeep in a ditch and he pulled over and got me out of a bind!
I take my football vote back and give it to TH!
