appears to be about a mile from both the church and the school that he mentions to the stadium

From what I can tell, all of the action will be on the other side of the stadium like the strip, quad tailgating, etc. But, heading back to Meridian post game and no parking pass, I think I'll park by the school/church.

The walk from where I prefer parking is not that long. 15 minutes.

excellent!

How early do I need to arrive for a night game to have room to park in these areas?

Is this a good option for heading back to Meridian after the game?

Its a quick out straight to the interstate.

the closer to campus, the longer it takes.

Central High School is relatively close and much easier to get out of since they won't stack cars in bumper to bumper like the small lots closer.

I always stay in Meridian Friday night then drive up to Tuscaloosa, exit I-59/20 at I-359 and drive into downtown. Generally park on the street and then barhop my way down University Blvd to the stadium. It’s all good area. Walking back to the vehicle from the stadium takes 20-25 minutes. Exiting the area by car is easy out I-359 and back to Meridian; all the heavy traffic goes out McFarland Ave toward Univ Mall and Birmingham. Alabama fans are hospitable.

No such thing as a good place to park in Tuscaloosa, TBH.

Post-game traffic in that city is the worst of any sporting event I've ever been to (including in the more congested areas around NRG, Jerryworld, Lambeau, Super Dome, etc.).

Went to GOTC Part I a few years ago. We parked almost a mile from the stadium and it still took over 5 hours to get from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham after the game.

The best part about being stuck in that traffic was listening to the gumps call in to the post game show.

It was pretty funny.

Drove past a gump kid who was passed out in the driver's seat of his car in the middle of the road.

The police chauffeured him out of traffic.
