Steve Rehage. He missed a lot of tackles but more than made up for it with style points...

Jacob Hester deserves honorable mention for chasing down the guy ??? after a turnover. He turned on the jets and shocked a lot of people with that play...

Great group, but you forgot to put Grant Delpit in there.

I know he had several injuries his last year but I saw a lot of open field tackles from Grant Delpit…

Just watched the highlights of Jamal Adams on Dandy Don. Reminded me of just how absolute he was as an open field tackler. Nothing got by him. Almost always went low for the legs with both hands. Every kid developing as a football DB should pattern their tacking skills after Jamal a Adams.
You sonofabitch. I read the title and got excited to come in here to say Jamal Adams.

Hands down DJ Welter.
He tackled literally everybody he ever got his hands on. The only way to get by him was to run fast and change direction.

Laron Landry, he was a beast.

OP cic not specify, but I assume the intent was for this to be LSU-only. In that case ....
In no particular order, these are some great open-field tacklers from LSU: Jamaal Adams, Eric Reid, Craig Steltz, Kendall Beckwith, Bradie James, Devin White, Tyrann Mathieu, Kevin Minter, Barkevious Mingo,

I'd like to nominate Jarvis Landry. His special teams clinic against Auburn was amazing. Not a defense guy, of course, but he was amazing.
As a remember this guy submission, I'll add Lamin Barrow.

Adams, Mathieu, Chad Jones, Patrick Peterson, Kendall Beckwith, Debo Jones, and Keke Mingo come to mind as recent guys who were great open field tacklers.
Solid list but the first guy that came to my mind was Craig Steltz. He was phenomenal.
