No man, I umped since the mid-70’s in Texas and then in La 80’s and part of 90’s before I had to quit because of the time commitment. I umped Ben McDonald, Greg Patterson, Barry Manuel and several others you probably heard of. Once when Ben was a Jr at Denham, he pitched during an umpire clinic. That was the first time I saw him. He looked fantastic.
When you’re in your 70’s you actually lived and have seen a few things.
