I remember his first carry, it still blows my mind no one talks about it.

It was VT I think we were getting our shite pushed in but we were more physical and better athletes. And we handed it off to some guy I never seen or heard of and he runs right up the middle and stiff arms a gawd damn 300lb or so full grown man child at DT, I swear lifted him off the ground and then slammed I’m in the dirt and ran for 2-3 yards when he should have been stopped for a loss.

I looked around and no one noticed and I was like wtf am I crazy??? Did I just see that? Didn’t really see him again till end of year if I remember right. But that first carry made him my favorite player on the team that year and u til he left. Played football like you supposed to in the molds of Clayton bowe Lawton and juice. Loved watching them dudes

Out of Houston Sharpstown, played QB, cause they needed a QB. Then after his SR year. Played in an All-Star game, put him at RB.

The Colts were going to draft a RB the years Joe was coming out of LSU. The staff gave Peyton tape on 3-4 RB's, after watching them, he came back and said he wanted Addai. He said they all could run well. The thing that stood out with Addai, their QB never got hit in the pocket. A defense player gets lose, or a blitz, Addai always took them out. Manning was the one that got Joe drafted to the Colts.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back:
Darryl Jenkins of the '58 Chinese Bandits!

There's a reason why the band still plays that song 66 years later.

Joseph Addai was a beast, he was one of the hardest college running backs to ever bring down. If he got inside the 10 he was scoring and there was no stopping him.

prior to Burrow and Daniels, Josh Booty was a first team all SEC QB. Can't recall any in my lifetime before him.
