I like the go-long plays where Mett over throws our open receiver by 10 yards...Our QB coach Sam Kragthrob needs to tell Mett to throw it 10 yards shorter and boom, we hang 38 on Bama.

Ok, and what is the main difference in those two games? LOCATION.

I agree

And OP, you don't think the caliber of team Alabama plays against matters?

Yes and No. Yes it matters because they haven't had to face much adversity. On the flip side of that, it's probably be cause they have been that much better than the teams they've faced. LSU has struggled in pretty much every game offensively except for Washington, and for the most part South Carolina(even though they played better). LSU has struggled in the redzone, and I haven't looked it up, but probably ranks near the bottom in the country and def in the league if I had to guess.

We still have injuries, but we get the extra week, we're battle tested, we have Tiger Stadium, our Oline is playing better.

Totally agree here.

and the real Brad Wing

yeah i don't know what this guys fricking deal is. It's punting, he's so good, it can't be that fricking hard to kick a ball accurately and longer than 30yds. The real Brad Wing needs to stand up.

There's no evidence that AJ McCarron can run the offense against an even decent team in a hostile environment.

Wasn't really that hostile to be honest (was there) about 50/50. Nothing like hopefully the environment this Sat.!

******Attacking me and my opinions about the state of our offense and offensive coaching doesn't fix the problem BF. Maybe it makes you feel a little bit more secure to name call, but it won't make the facts change one bit. In the end, disciplined coaching is what Saban brings. And it isn't always what we see under *CLM. Not this year.

There, I did it. *Happy?

The LSU defense is just as good as Alabama. Everybody on here calling for trick plays and all that mad hatter bullshite are idiots. Miles needs to be patient and run the ball. If they get stopped, punt and let the defense contain. LSU and Alabama will both have to play for field position. The team that is patient and wins the field position battle will win this game.

I'm expecting a loss to Bama (as a realist) but I'm a LOT more optimistic that some about our offense.

Our USCe and eaTme offenses were a lot more balanced than any so far this season, and certainly more so than the 1/9 debacle. We had decent protection from the line, open receivers, some good runs, converted on 3rd downs, etc. We also had some dropped balls, overthrown passes, running backs blindly running into the back of our O line, etc.

IF Les will continue to open it up at the right time, using the right plays, and
IF we stay healthy and block wisely on the O line, and
IF Mett hits receivers in stride and
IF they hold onto the ball...

it could be one for the ages.

Not exactly a hostile environment, no where close to Death Valley.

Against our 2 biggest opponents at home we've played our best offensive football.

The O-line is improving, especially in the run game.

We've cut down turnovers drastically.

If we can run the ball effectively and make them pay when they blitz, we'll be in position to win the game.

When's the last time Alabama had won on the road against a team that finished the year ranked?

I think this is spot on. I expect Bama to throw it just as much as they did on 1/9 especially on 1st down since everyone is expecting the run. LSU will have to be able to throw just enough for Bama to respect the pass. Mett's overthrown passes against aTm gives me hope that he is close to getting his timing correct. I also believe turnovers will decide the game as well as field goals once again. Jeremy Hill and Boone yes!

This is not something that can be seen, but we have an advantage in an area not many have discussed. This game is similar to 1-9, in the fact that, the show is on the other foot. Bama has their season riding in this. They have more pressure on their shoulders. I think we will take on a Miles's persona and be the looser of the two teams. Maybe bama comes in and plays tighter than Saban's arse. Particularly if we get a lead. Being behind at BDS to Ole Miss is different from what a lead will do to a TS crowd. Emotion and momentum will once again be huge.

I have seen Bama man handle every team they play. They make beating them look easy. They get big chunks of yards and points....I can continue. Have you watched bama much this year. I am not sucking them off, but honestly I don't see LSU winning this game. I hope they do, an I'll be mad if they don't. I just don't get all this "Well, who has Bama played." I don't buy into that argument.

A lot of them haven't watched bama play this year so that's why they keep saying that, and if they did and still say that then they're retards that don't know shite about football. Yes, they haven't played great competition but watch them play and you'll see how good they are

Ford's speed to the edge is amazing. Uh huh!

Jeremy Hill's acceleration is better than I thought. Oh yea!

Kadron Boone's big time playmaking. Timely catch!

Russell Shepard pages in the Secret Playbook. NOT!

Couldn't agree w you any more on this one Kracka. The only thing that keeps coming back in my mind is that when LSU is down and needs a big play they get it 100% of the time. If ODBJr. doesn't fumble against Fla. we're #2 in the nation ready to reclaim our top spot from 2011.

Hopefully Miles and company will treat every series in 1st qtr and beyond like it's crunch time and we're down 7 points. This mentality change and focus along w some creative play calling will get the offense going.

IF..... LSU scores a TD in 1st qtr it will be the start of something special on Nov. 3rd. We just need to mix it up early and often. The edge will be with the Tigers if they score early simply b/c they failed to score at all last time we played Ala. That's my take. Geaux Tigers!

When JH33 scored the first TD in the USCe game I felt that he "took the lid off the can" so to speak. Since that time others have started to make plays when needed.

Mett now has two big important wins (USCe and aTm)under his belt albeit not due to great play of his own but I think his confidence has grown significantly the last two games.

JH33 along with Montgomery and and Minter have put some swag back in the locker room and on the field.
