This is the hallmark of a well-coached, well-disciplined Nick Saban team. It breeds confidence. Remember 2003?

they are definetly well coached and fundamentally solid. I think our defense might be able to force a couple of turnovers this game. I also have noticed that we are trying to work nic jacobs in a few plays. Passing to the tightend would be huge against an aggressive defense. I also think our kicking game will once again be a factor.

shite as much as it hurts me to say this, he can be Jordan Jefferson from 2010 in TS vs Bama for all I care.

There's no evidence that AJ McCarron can run the offense against an even decent team in a hostile environment.

They haven't played a Top 25 caliber team on the road since LSU back in 2010.

Not saying that it's evidence that McCarron will suck on the road, just that the sample size is zero.

Shitting the bed vs Florida was awesome that year

Me neither. Trouble is, we haven't really seen LSU clicking since the Idaho game.

What was awesome that year was beating UGA twice, winning the SEC, and winning the BCSMNC versus Oklahoma. If you want to focus on the UF game, go ahead. I focus on the end results and stand on what I said.

1) An OL that is playing like an LSU OL since the SCar game
2) 0 turnovers against aTm
3) Jeremy Hill
4) Death Valley, Saturday Night, in November
5) Miles record vs Bama w/ Saban when coming off a bye week = 3-0
6) We've played from behind in the SCar and aTm games so we know this team won't panic if they trail in this game. Bama hasn't even been tested so we don't know how they will respond to adversity.

1. Night...it has an effect. It shouldn't, but it does.

2. It hasn't happened in a while, but Saban's Alabama team has laid a few eggs in similar situations in the past.

3. Several others this year have fallen the first time they have played anyone of significance.

Just wait he will be back to start throwing out asterisks like he is clever.

What the frick have we seen from Alabama that makes you think they are better than Oregon, K-State, Notre Dame, or Lsu? I'll tell you what I HAVEN'T seen:

A difficult game yet. Where's their FL away game they played? Where's their USC victory? Their A&M away game? Yeah, they pass the eyeball test, because they're a top 5 team playing mediocre teams every week.

I don't know if we'll win or not, but we've got a decent shot. I'd rather be playing Alabama than K-State this weekend. Go look at their schedule, or even Notre Dame's and ask yourself why Alabama is ranked #1.

I am going to be honest with you. If this offense get's behind 10-14 points like it did vs aTm, there ain't not overcoming that vs this Bama team in my opinion. Not unless AJ and the Bama RB's start coughing the ball up.

I have seen Bama man handle every team they play. They make beating them look easy. They get big chunks of yards and points....I can continue. Have you watched bama much this year. I am not sucking them off, but honestly I don't see LSU winning this game. I hope they do, an I'll be mad if they don't. I just don't get all this "Well, who has Bama played." I don't buy into that argument.

Playing at home, Defense, running game, punting game, if we get our running game going and put pressure on McCarron like he hasnt seen then we have a chance. IF we cant run the ball the game is probably over. Wing can make a difference by giving us good field position. If we get bama pinned inside the 20 and force them to punt back to us and give us a few short fields we can win this battle!

Alot of people keep bringing up the SC and the A&M game. Outside of JHill's long runs, we didn't do anything special or nothing stuck out as something we could expose Bama with. Help me here.

I agree that the A&M game didn't provide much cause for hope offensively. But I do think the SC game was pretty good; the offense really did a good... actually great job of moving the ball and controlling the clock against a good defense. Numerous times they sustained drives down the field... of course, what they did once they got into the red zone is another story.

Even without being a football expert, a layman like myself feels the rhythm of a game. It's been frustrating to watch us drive methodically down the field, then suddenly calling one or two bizarre plays once we get to the red zone that break the rhythm and kill the drives. If the coaching staff can figure that piece out-- and I do think they can-- I absolutely believe LSU can come away with the win. We may be underdogs and look more vulnerable than Bama, but we have the talent, and if it clicks, winning shouldn't even be a surprise. I'm not unrealistically putting purple & gold glasses on and saying it will happen; I just know it can happen.

I believe if we can get in this guys arse all game, force him into bad throws and maybe a fumble. We can win.

What the frick is his deal this year. He needs a big game, and there is no better time than this weekend.

Another great point. LSU CANNOT frick up in the redzone. They have to score TD's. Enough with the fricking around doing shite you don't normally do, run the fricking ball 3-4 straight plays when you are down and goal to go.

Ok, and what is the main difference in those two games? LOCATION.

And OP, you don't think the caliber of team Alabama plays against matters? Of course they manhandled everyone, they're a top five team. They played 2 teams ranked in the top 25. Michigan at a neutral field, who is now 5-3, and unranked. IMO the only reason they were in the top 10 to begin with is to sell tickets. And Miss. State, who was undefeated. Guess how many ranked team State played? YOU GOT IT! Just Alabama. They were undefeated because they played teams like Jackson State, South Alabama, Troy, Middle Tenn., Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Lsu has struggled in 3 games, AU (road), FL (road), and slightly less vs A&M (road). I don't know about you guys, but I see a pattern. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Lsu has a better chance of winning this game than the FL game. Everything than can go right for the Bama game, has. Bye weeks, injuries, OLine issues, location, all were wrong for Florida, and against a good team, that's hard to overcome. We still have injuries, but we get the extra week, we're battle tested, we have Tiger Stadium, our Oline is playing better. The only thing I thought we'd have at this point that we're missing is a QB who would be grasping things a little better (not a lot, just a little), and the real Brad Wing. But if Lsu keeps the turnovers even, I think the Tigers got this.
