what about Faneca

What some might not know:
Faneca began having seizures, which were later diagnosed as epilepsy, at age 15. He started on medication to control it and was
able to continue playing football.

Or, No. 5. Jayden Daniels' Heisman Trophy was special.

Over the years I’ve helped Bert with his golf and tennis tournaments to support Cystic Fibrosis.
Over the years, he’s donated a number of College and NFL items for auction. He’s had so many former LSU and NFL players come into town to help.

Cystic Fibrosis runs in Bert’s family.

Congratulations on the Jersey retirement.

“ Belichick's first NFL job was as a special assistant for the 1975 Colts. In 2016, Belichick was asked if he could have any quarterback in history lead his team other than Tom Brady, who would it be?
"I would put Bert Jones up there," Belichick said on WEEl's "Dale & Holley," via NESN. "I absolutely would put Bert Jones up there."
That's high praise from the greatest coach in NFL history.
"Bert Jones was a tremendous player," Belichick continued. "A tremendous player. Very athletic. He had an arm like no other, really. I've never seen a player with the kind of flexibility he had in his arm.
The kind of whip and accuracy. He had a quick delivery. He was a tremendous quarterback in an era that was a little bit different. But if he played today and was healthy, [we'd all say], 'This guy's really good.'

Bert Jones was on Jordy Hultberg this morning. I could have listened to that interview all day. He is such an interesting person to listen to. He talked about his early childhood how he was better as a baseball player. Won state championship at Ruston high as a freshman then he quit to focus on football and track.

The two most interesting former LSU players I’ve talked with, Bert and Billy Cannon.

Cannon walked into Hooters one night, Lee Brecheen was having an awards ceremony for state High School players. Cannon walks in, sees my two cousins, asked if he could sit with us. Cannon could have been a comedian. The guy got a million stories. All way too funny.

I was asked, by my company, to help head up The United Way campaign years ago. Another Tiger, Jerry Stovall, was asked to oversee it for that year. He too was a good Tiger representing LSU and the State.

I disagree. You win a Heisman, your name should at least be displayed on the stadium facade. LSU is so slow and snobby about such things.
