??? So, he's with the Bengals, now, as an Offensive Assistant. And suddenly he's going to be "the guy" to offer insight on Burrow to to the owner?

Yahoo Sports

BTW - he was great as a holder for placekicks!

Kragthorpe to Domingue for the win!

The only thing that's weird about this is that it's the Bengals who are actually doing exhaustive research.

Trying to see which would be more valuable to them: Burrow or 3 first round picks.

They should go with the 3 picks.

Kragthorpe also famously was called down short of the end zone (even though replays appeared to show him scoring) on a fake he kept himself just before halftime in LSU’s 31-28 loss to Notre Dame in the Music City Bowl.

what my mind went to immediately upon seeing young Kragz's name.

Not questioning his first hand LSU knowledge, just that I didn't see him as a key talent evaluator for a potential 1st round pick. You would think a more experienced NFL scout would lead that discovery.

Bengals have one of the smallest scouting departments and scouting budgets in the NFL.

You don't think they're going to consult a more experienced NFL scout? Are you honestly under the impression that Brad Kragthorpe is the only resource employed by the decision maker?

Well, he does have a direct line to his father, who definitely has inside information on Burrow.

Yes, he did.

It was shown in the stadium, and my group was one row back of ND fans

They all turned around after the replay and said damn, he got in

I wasn't surprised with the outcome at all.

The never posess the ball. A receiver has maintain control AND make a football move. Just putting it on the ground then putting a finger on top isn't a football move. They basically fumble it to a kicking position

actually, it's simpler than that. There is an exception in the rulebook for holders on placekicking WRT their knee on the ground.

yes. QBs are hit or miss. Go get you a lock down corner, a pass rushing DE and a franchise LT. you can find a QB later
