He seemingly chooses to forget that he has the best player in basketball on his team, who is probably better at his position than he is. Hope that's not construed as demeaning a player on this board, but it's hard to watch time and time again.

Kinda hard ben TQ is dribbling around and looking guys off.

As another poster said the mark of a great player is how much better you make the guys around you. Ben clearly does that. He dominates the game without dominating the ball which is incredible to watch if you actually understand basketball.

The issue isnt always him not being "aggressive" or some lack of a killer instinct. We just dont get him the ball enough when we need to.

Would love to see him come alive for the conference tournament.

To be fair, ben isnt a volume scorer. And Chris' A/TO ratio is essentially 1:1.

Show me the last time a freshman had anything remotely close to bens full stat line.
If you downvoted this just stick to your football and your irrelevant baseball. You don't have the cerebral capacity to enjoy or understand basketball.

Ben is a much more well rounded player as a freshman than AD was. Ben is up there with guys like Durant, Melo, Beasley and Blake Griffin as the best freshmen over the last 15 years or so. I think it's safe to say that if he finishes the season with similar stats, he's a top 5 freshman player in the last 15 years. He's better than Wall, Davis, Love, D Rose, and a number of other stud freshmen that are now killing it in the pros. He's an absolute beast.

I don't think anyone on this team is the best. They consistenly lose to most of slightly above average teams they play

Well then he god damned needs to call for the ball and get in someone's grill when he doesn't get it. I dont give a shite if he is a freshman. Thats not an excuse anymore for him to sit around letting these other jokers throw up shite shots that lose the game for us...when he can be taking those high percentage shots down low. 9 losses.....we're getting close to the point of no return.

And watch fking Aggy decide this Saturday's game will be the one when they choose to NOT look like hammered shite anymore. Just our luck.

This statement in plain wrong. With a full roster their losses are Wake and Florida which are not good losses and @A&M which at the time was playing good ball, home against a top 5 team with the player of the year going off in the last five minutes, and @USCe that has only lost 3 games all year and none at home. In that time they beat Kent, tied with them for first in the league, @Bama who is now a top 50 rpi team, & @Vandy.

Uhh he did. Johnny left TQ in and he killed any ball movement we had.

Yeah I guess getting twice as many assists as the next closest guy on our team last night just isnt enough.

BFD...its not translating to wins. He needs to get his big country arse down low every possession and call for the ball and go to work. He and Victor are our only hope down low, and victor can't stay on the fricking court.

IF this is the case then time for a come to Jesus meeting with Q. This is Ben's team.

meh I see in the last 5 minutes of games (crunch time) he doesn't seem to care or is too tired to demand the ball

But for anyone to come in here and dog on him saying he isnt the best basketball player in the country

he's the best pro prospect, and will go number 1 in the draft because of that, but he IS NOT the best college basketball player in the country right now....that would be Buddy from OU, hands down.....Benny will probably have a longer pro career but he is not fully developed yet

Buddy is a better shooter, that is obvious.

Ben is a better passer, rebounder, defender, he has a higher basketball IQ.

Buddy has better 3P% and FT%, but ben has a higher FG% overall and wins in every other statistical category.

shite buddy has more TO's than assists

Ben is the better all around player. Buddy is an insane shooter who can score the basketball and take over a game.

I will probably agree but I see him make some terrible decisions...his 2nd foul last night for example.

can't really compare this when you are talking about a guy who shoots from 20+ ft and a guy who shoots 95% of his shots within 5ft of the basket

Surprisingly enough Buddys 2PT% is only slightly higher 3PT% and Im not saying Ben is a better shooter at all

But ignoring all the other stats is just people being stubborn because of how cynical they are regarding our season.

He has all the potential in the world, but I don't know mentally is this kid has what it takes. He should be able to carry this team to the tourney. Period.

If he can't light this team on fire and then goes to NBA, Im starting to think this kid might be a bust in the pros.
