I’m pretty sure that the majority of Chris Paul fans couldn’t give the slightest shite he went to Wake Forest, and a surprising percentage of them probably couldn’t even name it.

Why all the hate for Simmons? He had Jones as a coach and a 6'2 Bridgewater for a forward who was said to be 6'5 or taller. I don't blame him for not being the best he could be, yet he had a good season if you look at his stats.

Simmons was always about the NBA. If you are a fan of the league and watch how the game is played, it is obvious he is an emerging superstar, and baring injury, will be a hall of famer.
His one year at Baton Rouge was nothing more than a pit stop. We all know what happened and the reasons have been discussed ad Infinitum. The bottom line was he clearly showed little interest being here, and in the end, quit on the program. He clearly is a mega talent, wish him success, but in no way passes as an ambassador of LSU.

I can only remember CJJ getting on any of his players in a very public way twice, and one of them was when Johnny instructed Ben to do something while he had the ball and Ben literally waved CJJ off.
Johnny called a time out an lit into Ben for 30 seconds in a very un-Johnny-like animated tirade. Ben seemed to be barely paying attention. It was much too little and much too late. It IMHO illustrated the lack of credibility and respect CJJ had from the players. There was very little accountability.

Regardless of the Webster's definition, I think most people consider an alum to be someone who graduates. Maybe extend that to someone who spends the majority of their time at a particular school before graduating elsewhere.
But one semester = alum? Not in my eyes.
