You sound intelligent.

Tell me more about how the SEC leading rebounder, as well as the SEC leading defensive rebounder, only accomplishes that because we miss a lot of shots.

By the way, LSU has the second highest FG% in the conference.

I was Team Ben until the GPA revelation.

He's thinking about himself only & that's sad. He could have gone into a select fraternity of great LSU players.

I have a buddy at LSU. He has a class with Leonard Fournette and said he's the coolest dude ever. Extremely funny and down to earth. On the flip side, he said Ben Simmons carries himself like a massive tool. Kinda has that, "I'm Ben Simmons. I'm above all of this" kind of attitude.

Have heard pretty much the same thing, Leonard is really cool and down to earth and been is a douche. One of my friends tried to take a picture with Ben at the bar and he straight up told him to "frick off". Granted, it probably wasn't best to approach him drunk at a bar but a response like that just shows he's an unlike able person. Leonard would have been all over that shite but Leonard's never at the bar because he's got his eye on the prize and isn't a punk.

He. Is. One. Of. The. Tallest. Players. In. The. Conference.

Also, no one else on our team, aside from Victor, can go bang on the boards. It's a stat, dude. Nothing more. He isn't elite at it...let it go, man.

Also, it's pretty disappointing David Patrick (even though Patrick can't go to class and care for him) probably didn't get on his arse to at least give some effort in the academic part.

The entire season from losing at College of Charleston until today has been a

Hard to get more elite than #1.

Sorry the facts aka stats greatly dispute your brilliant basketball mind.

And yea, his height and length are part of his game... Not sure why you keep trying to use that as an idiotic negative

Peace

Just an observation from this point in the season: Simmons never wanted to go to college at all, never wanted to work while he was here. Despite the bitching about TQ, I think Blakeney's comments might be aimed at Ben.

Ben gets his stats, and he makes sure to point that out. But the team is barely an afterthought, and he could care less at the end of the day.

This isn't what LSU needed.

How does he expect to "win it" when he and his teammates are playing shite basketball?

If he were 6'5" and leading the conference in rebounding, i would say it was an elite part of his game. As is, he's just another almost 7 footer averaging 11 rebounds a game. If he had hustle and heart, he would be around 14 or 15 a game. At this point, pertinent to the origin of this thread, in no interview should this cat refer to himself as the best player. Period and end of this story.

Good to see he's gone from okay on the boards to the elite conversation.

He's the only SEC player averaging over 10....

Rebounds don't count if you're tall.

It's okay, it's obvious you had no idea what you're talking about.

I'm done with this board. Y'all have fun.

Tim Duncan averaged 12 rebounds per game (under 10 as a freshman) at Wake and he is 7 foot. I guess he is just an average rebounder?

Yeah Leonard is actually a bit of a goofball in a funny way. Hes all business when it's time for it but hes a really cool guy outside of it.

Are those stats adjusted for the games in the NCAA tourney Tim was able to lead his team too? Also, while playing against, you know, Goliaths at North Carolina and Duke on the regular? Was Duncan the most overhyped, #1 high school recruit since forever? Christ, I'd be really disappointed in Ben if he didn't grab 10 or 11 a game. Like I said, he's ok at it...in the really, really weak SEC.

I don't even know what this means. All I know is by your criteria Tim Duncan was an average rebounder. Just another 7 footer grabbing 10-12 a game. I bet if he had any heart he would have had 14-15!

holy crap dude. There is way more to rebounding than just being tall. He leads the sec in rebounding. But yet he isn't elite

What kind of argument is "he isn't a great rebounder because he is tall" anyway? Sure he wouldn't be as good as a rebounder if he was 6'5, but guess what he isn't. He is 6'11.
