I prefer Div. 2 football now where a free education and playing a sport you love mean something , that name on the front the jersey means something .
Why not just watch high school football then? Hey, you might even be able to watch a pick up game in your local park on occasions.
You are full of shite. Nobody is paying to watch lower talent players play a sport. There’s a reason the lower league baseball teams don’t make money.

Bring back the sit-out, even if you allow one freebie transfer, and you will see a significant reduction in roster instability.
Then you must also implement that for coaching staffs too.

Talking about it being 12 teams

That seems like a lot of time invested into LSU when you are a self proclaimed D2 football fan.
Right? It’s almost like his system about D2 football was bullshite. (Because it was)

You didn't answer my question how much do you donate .

That isn't entirely true, there was some collusion when that rule went into effect. But for the NFL, it is a good rule that allows them to evaluate players as and after they mature physically before they risk a roster spot on them. A developmental league would have to spring up if college football were not part of the equation. And if that happened, the OP would get what he wants, D2 or even club-level football as the college sport. True student-athletes.
You will never see a “minor league” football league. The NFL would just draft from high school and develop the drafted players over a couple years on practice squads or as intermittent backup players or they would increase the number of preseason games and might woukd even implement some kind of “post season” exhibition type games.
The players would basically get drafted and paid about like or a little better than they are already with NIL into the NFL and you’d end up with college teams like Bama, LSU, Texas, OSU etc getting the caliber players that teams like Jackson State, Houston, etc get now. In essence, the big college programs now would get the “best of the best” of the players who will never be NFL quality and the lower programs will be playing with what is essentially a pick up group of random players. In essence, you would see better played football as some high school level teams than you would see at the college level.

I don't donate a cent, so i ain't nor do I have a right to bitch about people donating more .

To NIL? Not a dime. But then college football is not my life. It’s just basic entertainment. Even if I had 10 trillion dollars I wouldn’t give a dime to NIL. It’s just not that important to me.
That being said, I have zero issue with someone else being willing to give anyone money to “play a game”. I have no right to tell someone else what they can and can’t do with their money or how much someone can and can’t make. (Though I do believe the concept of multi billionaires is a little ridiculous as money is intended to be spent and billionaires just end up hoarding money which is the opposite of the intended purpose of money and no one can possibly spend that much money in a lifetime but that’s a discussion for another day).

To be honest it’s more than 15… all depends on if their boosters want to be competitive in football…

A couple years ago LSU was NILSU. What happen?
Posted on 12/9/24 at 9:32 am to Hold That Tiger 10
The NCAA and congress screwed it up and allowed that shite. Would be hard at this point to get rid of it. Would like for NIL to go away and just give them a salary. That wouldn’t totally solve everything because teams would go back to under the table deals. But I think it would curb the spending somewhat and help LSU be competitive in that scenario. Wishful thinking.
What you have to hope for is the portal gets taken away and you get kids locked in for the money that gets pumped into them.

NIL isn't getting capped with a CBA either.
"Sorry LeBron, Nike can't pay you 200 million for your shoe endorsement. That would be too big of a hit against our NIL cap."
You're correct, I should have phrased it differently. NIL won't be better defined without a CBA, and salaries won't be capped without a CBA.

is it possible for a stature to insist that all NIL is handled through said conference???
No. The second the NCAA, any conference, or any school, says that the max a player can make in NIL is X amount of dollars then the first player who is capable of capitalizing off their name image and likeness for more would sue and without a doubt win. The precedent has already been set. The court is pretty clear on where they will go with this.
I suppose it's not impossible for schools to try to collectively bargain this, but why? The players have no reason at all to accept it. The schools aren't paying NIL, either boosters or outside companies are, so they have no reason to push hard for this either. I expect the push to be more towards the transfers once both sides have a seat at the table. And honestly, you find a fix for the portal madness then it quiets NIL somewhat.

Then howcome the only year LSU has made the playoffs is 2019?

NIL is not being capped. It’s not even “capped” in the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. Any discussion of such is nonsense and not worth having 17 times a day

Yeah and we had major holes this year. Center, Db's, DT's, and good but not great WR's.

So stop crying and put your money up! You going to let AL and ole ps beat you. We have the same opportunity to back our team. Have you?

The only regulatory approach that leagues and the NCAA can take to rein in the Wild West is to limit transfers. Bring back the sit-out, even if you allow one freebie transfer, and you will see a significant reduction in roster instability.
The NCAA lost the ability to limit transfers in the courts as well.
