Yeah genius. The season he was AVERAGE. If Nussmeier has the right tools he can be great. Did you not see the Oklahoma game? Took an injury then proceeded to play his a** off, gave it all he had. Nuss no doubt made some mistakes in his year 1 starting. Don't act like any of us thought Burrow was gonna be elite in 2019 lol... come on

You people really forget Burrow's first year as a starter.
I think I speak for everyone when I say what the f***
Then howcome the only year LSU has made the playoffs is 2019?
I meant something more along those lines. I don't think there was any specfic person they really could've pinpointed in 2016 and said yes that's our guy. Just saying they lazily made O the HC and I think he would've done better in a DC type role and LSU should've actually done a head coaching search for someone that could handle the brand and the hype. O obviously couldn't. Glad we got 2019 out of it though.
except it's not that far....and it's just an opinion. relax.
.....he had one outstanding season. one. the rest was mediocre and then horrible which led to the program being gutted and it's still not recovered. Of course Burrow credits O. I'm not saying he had nothing to do with it. Just saying they could've actually done a coaching search. They made a lazy hire.
That's not a head coach with a proven ability to win a natty. Good try though. Convinced certain LSU fan don't have basic reading comprehension skills.
You must have missed the part where I said proven ability to win a natty. I'm not talking about an OC I'm talking about a HC.
IMO LSU really dropped the ball when they lazily transitioned O to head coach after firing Les. They should have gotten someone young with some fire and proven ability to win a natty. We could have still won a championship and maybe even another since then. I truly do believe Joe Brady carried that LSU 2019 team and it had little to do with O. If you don't see that I'm not sure how because the writing is all over the wall. We could've gotten a head coach after firing Miles that could still be in Baton Rouge and the program wouldn't be in the state that it's in.
If LSU has no money why in the hell are they paying a man who has never won a natty almost $100 million over the course of ten years? Clearly there is money. It isn't being allocated correctly. I can't wrap my head around LSU paying BK almost the amount Saban was making and the man has NEVER won a championship.
