I guess CPM was saving him for this all along. I was confused at Bain and Sanders pitching before him on multiple occasions. I thought he was in the dog house or something.

Hopefully he can eat us some innings, because it could get ugly with pitching today. Maybe UF and Arkansas will play 20 innings to do us a favor.

I predict we see the Beck we saw against Tulane... I hope I'm wrong but I don't have a good gut feeling on this one.

That’s cool. It is what it is at this point. We have Veitmier, Moffit, Kodros, Ta. Peterson, and Reese available tonight. Hell Cabrera may be available. Why not?

Yeah and both Arkansas and Florida has used all of their top starting pitchers except Singer. But I don't think he is gonna pitch in the tournament from the look of things.

I'd be OK with us losing tonight with where our pitching is right now. Just get back home and get some rest. Don't really gain much from winning

If Beck can give us one time through the order, that would be awesome. Maybe a little bit more, but I wouldn't push it.

Kodros can give us an inning or two. Vietmeier is available for probably as many as 3 innings. Then it's cobble the rest together with guys like Moffitt, Petersen, and Nowak depending on the score of the game.

Since we aren't in a must win situation anymore, I wouldn't throw anyone that's already thrown this week.

That is not an ideal pen to face Arkansas or Florida

I really think Fla could care less about this tourney
They might mail it in

Really, for LSU,other than getting some more work for pitchers that have been up and down this year, it might be time to come home and rest for regionals. I don't think they can get up to a 2 seed at this point.

With Peterson outing and Sanders threw well if Beck does well I think this staff has enough to get it done in a regional format with Labas possibly out.

Beck just needs to remember he's in a big ballpark in a game where some runs are still expected to be scored for both teams thin on pitching. Attack the zone and avoid those walks which have cost him.

Exactly, he may get hit, but let his defense work. No free passes, when he is free to throw that breaking ball in the dirt he is much more effective

Yea winning doesn’t really help LSU at this point. They won’t host if they win the tournament. I wouldn’t pitch anyone else who has pitched already this week, especially the starters. They should all be done in my opinion.

What does this mean for Labas (Hurt or just not ready)?

I think it may, it may get them to a 2. It gets them some confidence going into regionals.

I dont think putting another starter out there is even a consideration

If we somehow make it to Sunday I bet you will see a starter go. Whoever they think will pitch game 3 in the regional. But Paul loves winning this tournament so if they get to Sunday you will see a starting pitcher. Probably Bush

Our model under PM is to get hot in May/June. Unfortunately it didn’t happen this year to the degree that is had in the past. That said, while we may not benefit seed-wise by continuing to win in the SECT, I’d still like to see us win it in hopes that it’s a springboard to a little hot streak heading into postseason play.

All that said, if we win the SECT, I expect that we would be a 2 seed. We’re pretty close to being a 2 seed as is, not that it’s really much of a difference whether we are a 2 or 3 seed.

Yeah, Bush only threw 60 pitches on Tuesday. No reason he can't go Sunday.

However, Peterson may be asked to pitch left-handed if LSU gets to Saturday.

My opinion, but I disagree. This team needs all of the confidence and momentum it can get at this point, more than rest. I wouldn't risk injuring anyone, but I still think we have a lot to gain by winning more games.
