You’re correct.

Technically he did say something similar, but he was talking about his team saying they (SC) need to have a more balanced offense.

Liar is trying to coax us into rushing more thinking we can't...whatever USCe does, I pray Sloan and the guys adjust before halftime.

Not sure if serious...we haven't been able to run the ball since he's been here. Or stop a running QB.

Gamesmanship at its finest. Let's blindly believe what a coach says in his precious conference. He very well may do that. He may also be full of shite

That is exactly what I would do. Dare the passing game to beat you.

Wow. That'd be neat if he actually did it IN GAME.

If we don’t see drastic improvement in the run game this week, I.ll resign myself to the fact that BK just doesn’t give a damn. I NEVER. thought I’d see LSU football in this dilemma. Now we know why ND fans were laughing.

You act like we worst the worst rushing team in the SEC last year…

Um…LSU had two weeks to prepare for a one-dimensional Alabama offense (running QB) after getting torched the previous game by a running QB. How’d we do there? Ima politely disagree with you there. I’m still pissed about that game.

Kelly hasn’t shown the ability to make in game adjustments(Ole Ms, Last year TX Am, UF, Bama) or to have his OC script plays that’s make for good 1st and 2nd drives of the game.
If they rush 3 and LSU can’t run 3-5yards a play it will be a long day!

You’re about the tenth guy I’ve come across who thinks this has something to do with the running game. It doesn’t. They are not going to drop eight guys back before the snap.

I know right, Mascona keeps saying that - like teams are stopping our run with 3 down lineman and the backers are just dropping in coverage ignoring the run. There are other players in the box at the snap - just because they are not lined up on the LOS with their hand in the dirt does not mean they are not playing the run. That's obtuse.

You never explained further. I’m genuinely curious about the X’s and O’s on how to beat a drop 8

I did, but I’ll do it again.

You beat an eight man zone by having your QB sit in the pocket for four or five seconds, then hit 10 yard comebacks between the dropping linebackers. Unfortunatel, Nuss only gets about two or three seconds against a three man rush.

Besides the 10-yard comeback you’re taking about, what are some other ways we can take advantage of it?

How can we generate extra time?… rollout the QB?

Sounds like the QB doesn’t have the time to effectively/consistently pick apart a zone, so how the hell can we create some more time besides the obvious our OL improving ?

All kinds of routes in which receivers, with plenty of time, find soft spots in the zone. The key is that the QB should have five seconds against a three man rush - we don’t.

Rolling out the QB plays right into the hands of a seven or eight man zone. There is no way to compensate for a piss poor performance by almost half of your offense. There is one; get Jayden to be your QB.
