There are no “facts” that show that any coach is better than any coach at clock management that I am aware of.
You said O was les miles meaning O is as good of a coach as les mies and there are no facts to back that up.

But it is blatantly obvious miles was as bad as it gets. As bad as any I’ve ever seen. And I was a big coach miles fan.
Then you dont watch the sport outside of lsu .
here is a sports illustrated article about how rampant clock mismanagement is in THE NFL. how even superbowl winning coaches struggle with it.
Miles' clock mismanagement cost us 2 games in 11 years. If thats the worst youve ever seen, you dont watch much football.

Based solely on the fact that he spent 11 years saying anyone could win like miles at lsu and O is anyone.surely he isnt gonna admit defeat.

No, I don’t think he will ever lead LSU to the playoffs

Just bc the talent won out and saved his bum don’t mean that he isn’t just utterly terrible at clock management. And that number has gotta be closer to 10 then 2 anyway.

The fact that you dont even know how many losses you blame on Miles 'clock mismanagement lets me know youre regurgitating rant bullshite.

The accepted norm is extend a coach to show confidence so as not to affect recruiting.
Call BS on this one.
I don't agree with it, but it has basically become the accepted norm.
Hanagriff has touched on it before that agents have indoctrinated ADs into believing it's conventional wisdom.

I don’t give a care enough about that to remember the exact number. Miles is gone. I love the guy but very glad Those days are behind us. We have upgraded at the HC spot. We move forward. I don’t commit memory to BS like that, sorry Bubba.

Im actually not upset about an extension. I just want the buyout to stay the same.

Please explain how having season that got miles fired IS AN UPGRADE.
Please explain how having the worst class in a decade is an upgrade.
Please explain how having a worse offense than 10 of miles 11 offenses is an upgrade.
You say shite with nothing to back it up.
You do realize that Miles also took over a horrible situation like O took over at ole miss( actually a worse situation than what o took over ) and miles made them respectable and O had the worst tenure ever at a program full of shite tenures.
There are no facts that point to O being an upgrade over Miles. Not a single one.

Ogerone has the recruiting abilty in la to field a top team most years if we had Miles back we could field a top team every year .

People seem to have forgotten that Os clock management cost us the Troy game.
We had the ball with 6 minutes left, down ten. We scored in 4 minutes and used two of our three timeouts.
That drive management made it nearly impossible to win without an inside kick recovery.
But hey, let's just keep the narrative that O is better than Miles at everything because we want to.

You gotta look at the trend. You can’t jist pick one season. Miles lost 10 sec game in 3 years.
10.
That’s baaaaad. O couldn’t lose that many if he was trying.
heck if he loses 8 in 3 years people will call for his Head. And I am wont to agree. Inhave sky high expectations, miles wasn’t getting it done. Eddie has b- grade for me so far much better than miles. Who was at a c- kinda grade those last few. Maybe even a D.
10.
That’s baaaaad. O couldn’t lose that many if he was trying.

Miles had his flaws and i thought it was time for some new blood at lsu. We were tired of losing 3 games when we were as or more talented than every team we played except bama.
I just dont know how all of the sudden 3 losses is a great season and having a worse offense than Miles' offenses proves we upgraded at HC.
Then you have a plethora of O fan boys that have started shitting on our players in an attempt to remove blame from O. They constantly harp on the fact that all we need is talent to beat teams as of we werent more talented than Troy, miss st, and florida. If it was just a talent issue we would never look bad against inferior teams and we do.

Again, the sec wasnt garbage from 2012- 2016. In that time span 6 of the 7 sec west teams finished in the top 10 and the 7th team finished 12th.
O HAS FACED 2 SEC TEAMS(outside of bama) THAT FINISHED WITH 10 WINS IN 3 YEARS.
And you know good and well that one year skews your statistic.2014. The year we were actually in a real rebuild where we had all of 4 players drafted. You claimed we were in a rebuild last year and we had the 2nd most draft picks in cfb.

Only because the sec is garbage compared to 2012-2015.
And you do realize that O has a worse win% than Miles right? And thats using 11 years for Miles and 2.5 years for O.
And by all means keep thinking losing to troy is better than losing to Arkansas or a 9 and 10 win ole miss.

Seriously Rick? Miles will live in infamy for his clock blunders.

It is not ok to make a habit of losing to ole miss and Arkansas. I don’t care how good they are. They should never be LSU level good. Yet they were on miles’ watch. If O ever starts to lose to those teams more than once every four years. Max. He will rightfully be shown the door. Nothing I have see out of Eddie leads me to believe he will have any problems beating inferior teams once he gets all of his guys in here.
Posted on 11/29/18 at 3:02 pm to Rickdaddy4188
Miles took over a Ferrari from saban. O took over a sinking ship from Les. Of course miles will have the better record. Won’t be long til O surpasses him though.
