Miles and Orgeron are very similar coaches in that both need to relie on coordinators on both sides of the ball, both take on CEO type roles, and both are strong recruiters. Miles of course has the hardware being he had been at LSU for a long time. But for me, I think Orgeron is way less stubborn, and though the offense was bad this year, 8th in the SEC in points scored, at least he aspires to a open modern offense. Thus i think we at least have a pathway to great teams under Coach O that we would no longer have if Miles was still here. I really like lot of things i see from this team under coach O and like the direction things are going with him. There is room for improvement and he and his team keeps working on making those necessary improvements.

It's hard to see any SEC West team in the playoffs other than Bama as long as Saban is there.

However, I can imagine LSU getting there under Coach O as a possibility in a season like this one had we beaten Florida and A&M.

You are talking long ago with Miles. Miles in recent years was on a down ward trend.

2015
Vastly superior offense
Losses to:
Bama
10 win ole miss
8-5 arky

2018:
Dog shite offense
Losses to:
Bama
9-3 Florida
9-4 a&m

Please explain with facts how this is trending up and 2015 was trending down

Too bad they don’t pick playoff teams based on recruiting standings.

Coach 0 will never lead LSU to the playoffs because he’s terrible coach.

We were a 7-OT game in Kyle field and a tough/close/ loss in the swamp away from it this year. If you cannot see it happening then you need your eyes checked.

Agreed. He is miles with better clock management skills. It was def an upgrade over the last few years of miles. People will use the w - l record and try to put a bowl game loss as equal to an SEC loss which is just overtly laughable. miles lose 10 his last three SEC seasons. If Eddie loses 9 his first three he deserves to be shown the door. But all Indicaitons are he will have 6 or 7 conf losses in his First three which is just a massive improvement over Leslie Edwin

Now with respect to our OC again scheme. Riddle me this how does our awful OC spend hours with a super bowl QB showing our film and scheme and convince him that this is the place for his top tier son. Ditto for Burrow.

Our offense problem is not scheme.

Explain his teams with vastly inferior talent field competent offenses but O cant.

That program will need a great coach, Les is not even good.

We don't need to debate this, let us just wait and see after the 19 season.

However, IMO Les will be 4-6 wins next season. That's being nice.

I won't at all be surprised if he only wins 3.

Yeah thanks god the sec is garbage compared to 2012-2015.

Outside of bama( because they were great during both eras) O has faced 2 sec teams in 3 years that finished with 10 wins

Before this season O had faced all of 2 sec teams that finsihed the season with 9 wins.

Facts shite all over youre proven ignorant opinions.

You dont have one of the most accomplished tenures in sec history, during the most dominant era of sec football ever, by not being a good coach.

You dont have a single fact to back up your nonsense.

And in year 1 he will have had the most wins at kansas in a decade.

I could see discussing it after next year but there is no reason to do it now.

Also, if he extends O then fine but the buyout shouldn't change one cent.

Im saying if he wins 4 games like the poster said, it will be the most wins Kansas has had in a decade.

Kansas has won more than 6 games 7 times since 1975.
More than 7 just 4 times since 1975.

There are no “facts” that show that any coach is better than any coach at clock management that I am aware of.

But it is blatantly obvious miles was as bad as it gets. As bad as any I’ve ever seen. And I was a big coach miles fan.

Kansas hasn't won more than 3 games since 2009. 4 wins would be a good season for them, which directly contradicts your ignorant statement from above.

Interesting.
