And everyone should realize how many times Matt has been right. I remember back in 2007, when he made sense of each time we lost the #1 spot, before the BCS computers told us.

Yeah. For those of us around in 2007, his predictions were amazing. I remember printing out his scenario of that had to happen for LSU to make the Championship game, and then crossing them off as they occurred!!

All of these possible scenarios are giving me a headache thinkin about them. It really doesn't matter that much to me as long as LSU wins out, as long as Bama isn't in the game without winning their conference, even their division.

If this season doesn't scream playoff, I don't know what else it would take.

Seems a bit inconsistent to me .... You do not want non conf winners and you want a playoff. Do u not think if we had a playoff this year that lsu and Arky and Bama would be in it? If so non conf winners would be there and rematches would be probable.

Exactly...One has to wonder if Matt is not actually somehow the "wizard behind the curtain" guy for the official BCS! He sure knows more about it than any of the people I see on TV.

I guarantee OK state controls their own destiny.

The voters will pity them for going on the road on a Friday night, the same day they found out their basketball team took a horrible hit...and Mike Gundy had the team participate in wake and whatnot, proclaiming "football is just a game"

They showed up to Iowa state 30 minutes before the game..
.

All that being said, they have to beat a reeling OU. If they don't SEC owns both sides of the title game and LSU gets in no matter what.

I agree! LSU vs OK State in the NCG.

LSU runs the dive all night and scores a 45 - 17 victory.

true dat - this isn't the thread for 'gut' feelings.

This is the analytical thread that seriously models the BCS process.

I also have the same 'gut' fear as you, but lsumatt has demonstrated his expertise in BCS analysis more than once.

Matt ... Brad Edwards all over my TV saying Arky number 3!

You always seem to have it nailed and he is always ... Well not so much ... (remember his call this season that LSU would be 3 etc) ....

Anyway this thread has your prediction that Okie Lite will be 3. When final standings are out and assuming Arky is 4, you should email this thread to ESPN to say they should dump their Guru.

Personally I hope you prove right in Okie and they some how ride the computers to New Orleans instead of Bama ... (assuming LSU wins out)

The Sports Reporters on ESPN: "the matchup I do not want to see is LSU/ Alabama."

I think this sentiment is going to grow. If OSU and VaTech win out, Bama will slip slightly in rankings and OSU will overtake them.

Thanks for your insight...and the headache after reading through all of this. Hopefully, the Tigers win out!

I think #3 will be close between Arky and OSU and I give the edge to Ok State (but could be either). In fairness, I said Arky would be #3 and then "Geaux_" made me re-think.

I think the human polls would have 1. Arkansas, 2. LSU, 3. Bama if Arkansas beats LSU.

LSU just needs to win!

Matt- Please tell us who we need to root for in every game that will even remotely matter in the unlikely event that we lose to the hogs.

True you did rethink and in this email you say "in fairness" ... Not words Bama grad Brad would say ... Just saw him and he didn't give okie lite any chance .... Would love for him to be wrong

I am not sure what order they will be in, but whatever it is they will be very close. And remember it is the difference between them that counts more than their actual ranking. I think it is close enough to have the computers be the determining factor.

But I still disagree. I doubt Arky is above Bama when they lost by 24. i think it is:

1. Bama by a small margin
2. LSU (maybe Arky)
3. Arky (maybe LSU)

with ALL of them getting some 1st , 2nd, and 3rd place votes
