Follow that link about to the Texas Monthly Top 50 list...it is gospel. DFW has 5 or 6 quality offerings from that list and they are all great, but for my money I’m going Cattleack #1 and Heim #2a and Pecan Lodge #2b. Those three stand out above the next tier of Hutchins and Lockhart. Also, I’ve heard from bbq pros that Stanley’s in Tyler and the original Bodacious in Longview are legit. I’m from Shreveport and I wouldn’t F with any bbq from there bc you’re coming to the Motherland when you cross into Texas.

Pro tip- Heim is worth going to simply for the bacon burnt ends...you won’t find those anywhere else and they are heavenly

Dude, someone is pulling your chain. It’s kind of like “the Emperor ‘s new clothes “. People think they are supposed to say that and they are afraid not to say it’s great. It’s okay but not worth stopping your trip for.

Can vouch for Bodacious, Pecan Lodge, and .Hutchins. All are outstanding.

Why not pick a couple of joints for your trip over and a couple on your rebound.

Hutchins in McKinney, TX or Pecan Lodge in Dallas.

Hutchins is better than Pecan Lodge, and I like Pecan Lodge.

Wrong board, but i was told that Real BBQ in shreveport is some of the best BBQ ever created, by multiple sources

I've been there 5 times. Excellent BBQ. My favorite ribs in Shreveport. Just off I49.

Bakers Ribs is in Canton, Dallas, Garland and several other locations. Canton is about halfway and worth the stop.

I guess some people can't read.
"Shreveport to Arlington." The guy is following I20 then either Hwy 80 (at Terrell) / or i20 INTO Dallas, possibly I30 once in Dallas.

some are even suggesting crap in McKinney and Frisco
