Yeah, the way the season/bowl game went had nothing to do with it.

I went every yr from 2001 til 2011.
Missed last year bc i was still pissed and butthurt about 1-9.
I just got back tonight from a business work meeting, reason missed this year...prob would have went had I been home.

It definitly had a different vibe this year. I think partly because the majority of the LOIs were in so early and partly from the DUI checkpoints after last years bash and the TOTTG this year. The auction and merchandise vendors were also weak this year. And they need to invest in a few HD TVs in place of the damn projectors everywhere. With that said I still got to have a few beers and get pumped up for the season on a Wednesday afternoon.

Based On what??? SERIUOS................ We will NOT know how good these kids are until they are developed into SEC players. FACT....................
So I guess nobody had a solid recruiting class this year?

The checkpoint last year didn't help i'm sure.
But it's also expensive. $100+, LOL.
Much better things to spend that money on. A 10 minute speech by Les Miles (who never actually says anything of meaning) isn't enough for me. Especially when LSU football is reaching into my pocket every chance they get already.

even when the band came out there were not that many people standing up and cheering.
What were they supposed to cheer about if you don't mind me asking?

Is the bash designed for kids or for grown men? Serious question. I've never been, but it's sort of a bizarre concept to me.

Maybe new-ness isn't the right word. Excitement. Anticipation. Anxiety. Whatever - it just isn't there anymore.

This. It's needs to be more of like the NFL Fan Experience, Maybe with an mini-LSU football HOF set-up. EA Games needs to be more involved too, some sort of NCAA tourney for the under 30 crowd. I wouldn't mind a band or two.
All good ideas

Bayou Boring should be the name of the bash. Same old boring people are those who regularly go to it.

Waited 25 after 5pm for Les to come out and finally gave up on him.
It's tradition, he's always late for the Gridiron Club luncheons whenI was in it, and most other pressers according to Ott, Songy, Hanagriff, Rabalais, Guilbeau, etc..
I haven't been in three years now..it's played out.

Actually those kids spend a ton of time on garbage like Facebook which an old timer like me sees as a waste of time. I actually like football and consider myself a huge fan of college football in particular. I despise Facebook. It's all preference.

Where's Cam Cameron? Is that hire going to go down or what? We need something to invigorate the fanbase and to give people hope that something of worth is being done to stop the Crimson menace. It aint gonna stop by just hoping and wishing it so.
