Baum was extremely nice when it was first built, but certainly not to the extent it is now. There have been continuous expansions and improvements over the years, and I expect they will do the same thing at the new Box.

This is the 1st phase of the box, they plan to put a berm in rf, remove the bleachers and breezeway in center and many more updates in 2nd phase

also, it appears that there are only a few hundred semi-covered seats at baum as opposed to several thousand well covered seats at the box. the new sarge has better covered seating than baum as well.

Sarge Field should be eliminated from all conversation. The fact that you have to park and take a shuttle to the stadium eliminates it.

honestly, i haven't heard anything about "phases" with the box, i.e. planned changes in stages. from what i've been told, they're still evaluating what they would like to do next. also, there is no berm in the works as of now. it's going to be bleachers.

regardless, it's still an incredible facility. one thing that is very cool is the rooftop cafe.

I'll take Baum over the New Box any day. It is far and away the best college baseball facility in the country.

Been to both and agree with this statement. We are fortunate in the south to have so many great college baseball stadiums.

No shame in finishing 2nd to Arkansas. In fact, LSU fans helped fund it every time they went to Wal-Mart.

i can tell you that from a program perspective, the new box is second to none, including baum. from a fan perspective, i think the new box's unique architecture puts it over any other. but that's subjective.

That look of skyboxes all the way down the lines make Baum better. Plus the berm and some picnic areas where you can still see the action pushes Baum over the top.

I was hoping the new Box would have more of a personality; some nuances that would make it different than a cookie cutter stadium. It really doesn't.

Box looks similar to Nelson Wolff Stadium in San Antonio and

again, they're not done with the box.

the last words i would use to describe the new box are "cookie cutter".

I haven't been to the new Box yet, but I went to both games on Saturday and Baum is a great place to watch a game.

Your can bring coolers and stuff to grill out in left field... This automatically makes it better than the box.
