Basketball team deserves a packed house for their last 2 games

It seems like everyone is focused on the negatives of football and baseball. Meanwhile, something special is going on at the PMAC. Will Wade has a team that was picked to finish dead last in the hunt for postseason play. The team won two games last year and now they are beating teams they really have no business beating.
The team plays hard and with energy. The coach coaches with energy and puts his players in a position to win. There's really nothing more that could be asked of a team.
Show up for the last 2 games. Not only that, show up and be loud. They may not be title contenders but they are laying the groundwork for one.

We won Saturday on hard work, and determination. The coach is building a foundation. We could we seeing the beginning of something really big.

LSU really didn't play all that well on Saturday. And Mizzou helped big time by clanging FT after FT. But LSU never wilted when they could have against a good team. Reath is clearly hurt, but he battled against a good front line that minimized him. Mays had some big moments. And Waters broke out of his funk to score 4 straight when LSU was down 3 with under a minute to play. Neither bucket was an easy shot.
Hopefully Waters can come out of his slump. If so, other guys are playing well. Particularly Mays.

While we should definitely pack the house for the boys we are 11th out of 14 teams. Its not like this was some amazing turnaround, can only go up from the bottom.
But they are playing hard and the program is headed in the right direction.

Did you watch last year's team? From an effort, competitiveness, coaching, recruiting and any other measure you can think of standpoint..... amazing turnaround is exactly how I would describe it.

The future of LSU hoops is set to explode under WW. Under JJ we were set to implode . Next year the team we put on the floor will help w/recruiting. Everybody wants to play for a winner , & next year we will be a WINNING team.

Yea I watched too many games last yr. I realized how bad Jones was and how good Wade was so I guess I just had more expectations coming in.
I would say they'd be in the 9-13 range coming in. I forgot the SEC was some powerhouse bball conference I guess?

Yeah, I think first impression would be to say it was an ugly win, but I don't think WW saw it that way. Typically we have to shoot well to win this year and we did not but we played hard nosed defense, won more 50/50 balls and actually outrebounded a team. I think WW liked that. We won even though we didn't shoot well because we played with an edge and some toughness for a change.
If that could only continue he'd be pleased I'm sure.

You know who also deserves a packed house? #24 ranked LSU women when they play their final home game verse Alabama this coming Sunday.
