Yet, Woodward thinks McMahon is suitable…

It’s makes perfect sense, not sure you want to use Woodward as your measuring stick for making good men’s basketball coaching decisions. He has yet to make any good decisions when it comes to men’s basketball.

No doubt bigger schools were nervous about what was coming from the NCAA. Turned out to be not much at all - as I had predicted for several years. Still think Ole Miss would have been willing to take that chance had Beard not been available.

ETA. The sad thing is Wade has a far better chance in being the tournament from McNeese than McMahon does in year 2 at LSU.

You can’t read

No one wanted to hire Wade. College basketball is the measuring stick, not Woodward lmao

Big difference between visit and commit. We shall see how that turns out!
We are likely getting a top 50 recruit to commit this weekend, and they aren't on the list visiting this weekend.

uh, he hired Jimbo at A&M and gave him that absurd contract.

I hate this wharped angle. He went and got the guy that the big money told him to get, a relatively young guy with a national title, a guy other big programs were fighting for, and a guy that has recruited his arse off in College Station.

And the contract he gave him is not an issue - at all. His successor gave him the ridiculous extension. That original contract would be a nothing burger if it was still in place and A&M would easily get out of it. And money to them isn't the same as money other schools.

As I've posted before Less, I can't figure out if you're intentionally ACTING like a MORON, or are indeed one. It's a very close race between those two horses.

Stevie Wonder can see that schools were scared of hiring Wade due to his "toxicity". That will wear off very soon, he will be in high demand for several power 5 jobs, WILL GET HIRED and he'll resume kicking major arse like he did, and would have continued doing at LSU.

It's just a shame that our administration didn't tell the NCAA to kick rocks like any number of brand name schools have done recently, and negotiated a slap on the wrist to help the NCAA still appear relevant.

I like how you start the post with a complete lie that Buzz Williams hasn’t sent Texas A&M to the tournament. He’s one of the best coaches they’ve ever had and was hired by Scott Woodward lmao

Would hate for facts to get in the way and even sadder you have upvotes for what is a lie. Lmao not surprised

SU’s firing of Wade and hiring MM was far worse than the sanction we would ever get from the IARP.
are you certain we wouldn’t have received penalties affecting the entire athletic program ?

No, I want LSU TO WIN and play by the same rules all the other winning programs play by home slice.

You're a special kind of stupid if you can't recognize that Wade was the best coach we've had since Dale, and he was just getting started.

Also, the "toxicity" will wear off quickly, and you'll see him winning big at a power 5 somewhere. It could have and should have been at LSU. Do you enjoy the mediocre pile of dog dung we've had as a program with Trent, Johnny, and it looks like we have with McMahon?? You sure you want LSU to win, or do you just enjoy taking the idiot's point of view consistently on this board??

Buzz Williams

Four seasons, one tournament and they lost in the first round.

That's not good enough. And Williams is a better coach than McMahon.

I would like nothing more than for McMahon to prove me wrong. I want LSU to win in the two major sports, and not be afraid to do what needs to be done to win like the top schools do.

I don't need to be proven right about any Wade over McMahon argument. I need LSU to WIN.

By the way, it sounds like we have a chance for a couple more of these recruits. Derick Queen would be an OUTSTANDING get.

Brady was better. But saying better than Trent and JJ is really setting a LOW bar.

And all of you fail to see how he left the program and try to push all of that onto Woodward when you know every AD in the country would do the same thing.

Getting back to the OP, the recruits he is pulling in for visits is amazing and exceeding all expectations. I am very optimistic for this class given he just got a commit in the top 50 less than 2 months after the cloud of sanctions was put behind us. That is a great start.

If it’s basketball, it better be Mulkey. CMM isn’t in the same stratosphere as Mulkey, Jay Johnson or Brian Kelly until he proves otherwise.
