I've said all along if we struggle this year he.needs to be gone. I just don't see how people think we are no better and its all over. This team has a chance to gel and get on a slight roll. How much? Who knows. I just refuse to throw on the towel because of a.slow start that has.shown some promise. Team plays hard..it'll hopefully come.

Chip could give a.shite about basketball. Always too busy writing holes or sumfin

4. So, because of Trent, we are expected to lose to a mediocre team. Oh, but because we were expected to lose, it's cool.

I would not call NW mediocre. Last 2 seasons they have won 20+ games. They narrowly missed the tourney last season.

The problem with this team is discipline on the court...they think they can out jump out block and out think the other team..Which is not the case. Trent Johnson is a really good coach but I think he lays off fundamentals and the mental aspects of the game and thats where we struggle obviously. This team is way more talented than last years but once again there are a bunch of new faces and its going to take the team prolly til conference to get used to the 4 new faces that get significant minutes.

Will he be as good in college?

He out plays everyone thats commited to Big East schools so.

LSU would have to fire Trent now and have a big name to replace him.
To the poster who said LSU is young, true they have been young since Trent got here.

3. NW is not that good, no matter what you want to believe

2010- 20-14 (7-11)
2009-20-14 (7-11)

ignorance, i guess you think the s.e.c. is as strong as the big X in b.b.

i remember you saying the same things about les jester. Just can't go on your word.

i get it, you don't like trent. you didn't like les, you entire being is getting on the message board bitching about every sport and every coach!

my problem wasn't the players struggling. My problem was Trent just sitting there like WTF while Stringer and Hickey just kept leaving their feet to throw cross court passes to each other for the first 15-20 seconds of every shot clock.

If Galloway is the kid I'm thinking of, he was a beast in high school.

I doubt you understand what im telling you...I know this game front and back...played it my whole life...and I know what I'm talking about when i say he is a good coach..The offense he runs is nice but it requires more discipline..something that 85% of every incomming freshman doesnt have yet because they were all like God's in high school. Smart basketball is all LSU needs. The talent and coaching is there...but Trent cant play the damn game for them

lulz

Are we really going to go that route? Argue about who's played more? Because I guarantee you lose that battle.

And smart basketball comes from good coaching. When Northwestern's coach made adjustments, what did Trent do to counter? What defensive adjustments did Trent make when Northwestern was shooting 60% in the second half?

that offense against the 1-3-1 was superb today. throwing cross court passes between my 5'9 guards for 20 seconds is my favorite offense.

This is my definition of mediocre. You do realize how many teams make the tourney, right?
