i get it, you don't like trent. you didn't like les, you entire being is getting on the message board bitching about every sport and every coach!

Okay, now you are just making shite up. I bet you will not find one post on this board where I said Les was a bad coach. Permaban bet?

Seriously, you are either confusing me with someone else or just blatantly making shite up.

that offense against the 1-3-1 was superb today. throwing cross court passes between my 5'9 guards for 20 seconds is my favorite offense.

Couldnt have been that bad...We scored 82. Plus, I didnt get to see the game I'm at work right now but if it is a 1-3-1 defense then skip passes isnt a bad idea to make the zone shift..thats what you have to do against a zone defense either quick passes or skips and that defense prevents middle penetration(no homo) and the high-low we like to run. So they basically said we were going to have to beat them with the three..which if we played better defense we prolly shoulda had that game...no excuse giving up almost 90 points

No doubt. I've never seen so much talent on one team.

This is my definition of mediocre. You do realize how many teams make the tourney, right?

Let's not act like they just take the top 68 teams in RPI and lop it off there.

31 automatic bids, with the countless mid-majors. 37 from the "at-large" community. Most of those going to teams in basketball conferences.

I'm not saying that they do. However, I am saying that you are mediocre if you can't get a bid.

I would argue that half the teams or more are merely "mediocre" when you really look at it. There are teams that get left out every year that are better than some who get in.

We're obviously not top 25 material. BUT I do think we are in the top 55-60 of the 300+ teams in DI.

And again, this shouldn't be the goal. We should be better. I'm just not going all chicken little or doom and gloom up in here the 3rd game into the season.

really cant do anything or much post-wise against a 1-3-1 forces either 3's or mid-range shots from the baselines

Yea, it's a good adjustment by NU, we are a post team (no earthly idea why we tried to shoot so damn many 3s vs CCU), and they took that away.

You are obviously seeing something I'm not. We're 1-2 with our only win being against Nichols State.

As long as Tac Minor 2.0 is in the game, we will throw up lots of ugly threes, unfortunately.

There's a long season ahead of us and I don't like being a negative nancy for the entire season?

Are we firing Trent yet? I'm sorry but his teams aren't worth $18 a ticket. I went last year to watch them get blown out. Never again.
