Coach just told CST the team shoots lots of free throws in practice, and stresses the significance of free throws but we need to hit em in the game.

Also, need to step up defensively. Good job Coach Jones

This is the first game I've gotten to watch so far this year. I know the last 8 minutes or so were unacceptable, as was the free throw shooting, but I am pleasantly surprised at the level of talent we have. Hickey, Johnny O'Bryant, and Coleman (seems to be our best player) could carry this team to being middle-tier in the conference I think. Tons of potential.

Scoring 102 with shitty FT shooting is the mark of a final four team.

Only if Cal ar Tark is coaching. 62 fouls called tonight by the refs.

I think some actually believe this. We'd get the same "why aren't they practicing free throws" when Brady's teams would miss.

guess LSU football didn't practice passing from 2008 until the week of the Alabama game this year

Our FT shooting is God Awful, but We just scored over hundred for the first time in SEVEN years. WOW.

I like watching this team.

I was going to say maybe all the running wears us out and when FT shooting comes around tireder legs = less made FTs.

But tonight the game was stopped 95% of the time.

I was wondering when was the last time that happened. You have to like the potential to put the points on the board. A TJ team wouldn't have scored 60 tonight.

The saying goes, "Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect." And it applies here.

Just stressing this and saying that we need to hit them in a game and shooting a bunch of them in practice does not get the job done.

Basketball coaches that take free throw shooting seriously and coach it specifically are like football coaches who take special teams seriously and coach it specifically.

It takes more than saying "we need to hit em in the game".

Close games are won and lost at the free throw line. How many close games are there during a season?

Like poor fundamentals on defense, poor free throw shooting is very frustrating to me.

Went on a period where they kept fouling and we went like 1 for 8 from the line while they were hitting everything and getting turnovers for points.

I feel good even though we let them climb back into it. I guarantee you we would've got blown out tonight if Trent was still our coach. Our guys needed this test

And, Dickhead, it's not necessarily a function of how many you shoot. It's definitely quality over quantity and other factors I won't bore you with.

Keep on being a dumbass. The world needs more village idiots.
