Based on the recent scrimmage stats, we can dispel the “QB Competition” talk

Scrimmage 2:

Scrimmage 3:

Combined:
Brennan: 22-31 (71%), 317 yards, 3 TD, INT
McMillan: 10-26 (38%), 189 yards, 2 TD
Narcisse: 9-25 (36%), 103 yards, 0 TD

I know we talkin bout practice, but come on. This is a good thing, though. Brennan is looking stellar.

ETA: someone pointed out this is for the 2nd and 3rd scrimmages, not the 1st and 2nd. Fixed.

Nothing wrong with a competitor separating himself from others in the group.

That said, you're always one play away from the backup coming in, so I hope they are all ready come fall.

But like you said it's practice. I can remember Harris and Jennings doing great in scrimmages too.

Depends on how many rushing yards the other two are picking up. O said Narcisse had 100 yards rushing last scrimmage. That’s significant if you add rushing yards and passing yards.

What happen to the stats from the first scrimmage?

Should rushing stats be included?

The numbers you show are from scrimmage 2-3.

There are literally so many factors not being considered solely by looking at these stats.

IDK where you got that, but looking at Dellenger’s stat sheet, Narcisse had a whopping 6 yards in the first scrimmage and 17 in the second. Not groundbreaking. McMillan also had 0 and 48, respectively.

The main thing I’m pointing out is the vast disparity in completion percentage.

ETA: the actual quote was “We weren’t touching the quarterback. He would have probably had 100 yards rushing today if we would had let him.

According to those numbers, the only competition I see is for second string. Even if the Narcisse and McMillion are running wild!

Agreed. I’m sure we’ll also have a great wildcat package, but the starting position is all Brennan’s at this rate.

FWIW we don’t know which specific numbers were against #1 Defense vs #2 Defense

He was referring to running the ball but as usual the people here interpret it to make it fit their agenda. Also, the attempts were about equal so whose "fault" is it that one man excelled over the others. Is there a conspiracy I missed somewhere? Who is YOUR guy!

I can tell who your guy is.

And it’s not a player.

Great. Our secondary sux.
No. Wait. Look at the other 2's stats. Our secondary is stout.
No. Wait. That wasn't due to the secondary. That was our D line forcing pressure.
No. Wait. Our o line must've been dominating our lackluster D line. That's why the immobile Brennan had such a completion %. Couldn't be because of quick processing, quick reads, quick check downs, quick release, arm strength and accuracy.
We can't run it in, in the red zone. Our O line sux.
No. Wait. Our D line dominates red zone.

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN ?!!!!!

But how many rushing yards did the QBs pick up? This is what we need out of a QB.

Someone claimed that they had a friend who went to the scrimmage and they said that the numbers were wrong and Narcisse was 10-10 which is why Coach O said " Narcisse was on it " but hey
