Vandy is fighting to JUST make the tournament...

Dude we were fighting to host a SR. Or at least we were supposed to be. I didn't see much fight this weekend.

Can you imagine what we will have next year?

lets see

we have nola who will be an ace for the next two years

eades will be back as long as he doesn't fall off the map he will be another ace.

I don't know about our third starter but I know there are some good candidates who could pitch well.

yes we will loose katz and raph and nola and gaus, but we also have some great young players coming up. Chris is a good player unfortunately his injury took him out this year. I think ross will come back next year, not sure but he will be amazing in his final year, fields will get better in center, hopefully edwards will have a good final year.

Our team is in good shape.

I should have gone to the games, LSU has never lost a baseball game that I've attended.

I'll carry this loss. Aim your thoughts at me. It's my fault.

Vandy has better position players then lsu. Now that their young pithing staff is getting better. They will be tough to beat if they make a regional

Lets just say im not as enamored with their pitching as you are......but we did make some avg to abv avg arms look like future hall of famers this weekend.

All you can do is lace it up again Thursday and give it another go.

Honestly im not seeing championship baseball from this team at this point minus gausman......but that might change i supppse.

I hear ya. If you would have told me before conference play we would be only 17-10 with 3 games left, i would have said cancel the season. This is unacceptable.

This team doesn't need to worry about being a national seed and start worrying about how to play offense when Raph doesn't get multiple hits, getting our starting pitching going again, and praying for a quick recovery for Ross.

PM needs to sit Eades next weekend (should have this weekend also) and allowed his arm to strengthen up for postseason. As nice as a SEC regular season championship is, it is still a REGULAR season championship. We ultimately play for Omaha around here and sacrifices have to made to achieve that.

How the hell do we not have a back up catcher that could even throw out a baserunner from the pitcher's mound. It is horrendous how bad guys are beating the throws of a supposed SEC catcher.

This team has lots of work to do to worry about winning a regional at the box before worrying about hosting a chance for Omaha. In its current state, it isn't a top 16 team.

And were you under a rock in early december? Quality of "the loss" was thrown around like crazy.

A lot of people said this same thing prior to this year......im still not sold on his arm strength.....i mean he pitched less than 70ish pitches today and he was well done to say th least in less than 5 innings.

I hope i get proven wrong but im still not sold.

and don't forget outright SEC west champions with a chance to win the SEC, with a good shot at a top 8 national seed.

at the beginning of this year I would have been happy with being top 3 in the SEC west and making the NCAA tournament, this team after where they have been have mad a great year. CPM has shown time and time again he is one hell of a coach and with this new pitching coach I see only growth for this team in the future.

just need to get used to these types of games because this is now the make up of our team. We've been a top 5 team all year, so you can't bitch too much. But when your offense sucks as bad as ours does you end up in a lot of close games that can go either way

LSU had losses last year against Florida and some other good teams. Didn't seem to help.

Early December? No comparison to this at all.
