I imagine these are the same folks that are at the basketball games (landmark). They will quickly run to me or my 6 year old to tell us to “mask up” after taking a breather for 10 seconds, but don’t say a word to certain demographics and groups. This is the part that irks me the most. Ok tough guy, pick on the dad trying to enjoy the game with his son because I’m probably more approachable.

I finally copped to holding a drink and popcorn between my legs all game because you can’t remove the mask while eating/drinking.

Vaccines aren’t available to most. And they say if you want to go wear a mask. How hard is it to wear a mask?

On TV it looked like he was wearing it most of the time.

The couple of times I noticed him he didn’t have it on, the people with him did

It’s going to be miserable during May sitting in the sun wearing a mask

If I’m not close to you why do you care if I have a mask on or not?

Look I think the mask up shite is absurd too.

But it’s not like they surprised you with the rule.

You had a choice: go to the game and wear a mask.

Or

Don’t go to the game and not wear a mask. You won’t catch me at a game until this stupid shite is over with but don’t be mad because they’re enforcing a rule that you were made well aware of before hand.

In my opinion, your attitude concedes too much too easily. Yes, they get to make the rules, but the people should have a say-so. The stadium belongs to the people who paid for the stadium. The game is for the fans.
We are letting rule-makers dictate our lives to us, and it's gone too far.

Like someone said earlier - the easiest way to voice our complaints is to quit going to games and quit giving our money to LSU and TAF

I don’t have a problem with the rule necessarily, but more the power tripping landmark people who can use a little common sense instead of immediately jumping on people. I saw them go to several people to tell them to mask up and they were drinking a beer or eating peanuts and had to tell them that.

In addition, I was sitting probably 10 feet from the closest group of people. Outdoor social distance like that, plus masks is stupid

And you buying tickets helps your cause how?

You want to get your point across? Let the stadium be slap arse empty a couple of weekends in a row.

My attitude isn’t conceding. I’m not going to the games because I don’t want to follow their rules. You’re conceding by attending the games but bitching on an anonymous message board afterwards.

it has nothing to do with virus prevention, it’s all about power.

By the way, 40,000-80,000 Americans die EVERY YEAR from regular flu. Have they ever required masks for that?

No, because the population wouldn’t accept it, because life has risks. If you don’t want to catch flu, don’t go to restaurants, games, concerts, or malls. But don’t require the rest of us to wear a face burka.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I just don't have an issue with people protesting by going and not wearing the mask. I wish every single person in there would go maskless. They might kick everyone out, but then at least they wouldn't be able to lie to themselves and say people are staying home because of virus fears. Which is exactly how they would explain low attendance.

Why? So some minimum wage employee who had no input on the rules and is just trying to feed their family has to deal with you? While all the while lining the pockets of the institution who wrote the rule?

No offense but that’s the dumbest shite I’ve ever heard

You, like most respectable self-sufficient people, do not understand the nature and power of protests.
