LSUBaseballData had him hitting one 99 mph and I don’t trust it. That last flyout was off the end of the bat on a weak swing.

I can't speak specifically to Jones's strikeout rate, but listening to Yeskie's press conference the other day he stated that the players are tired of facing the same people and that it does favor the hitters.

Hope that Jones can get it together before SEC play.

I know he has time to snap out of it, but Jones is 1 for 18 with 11 Ks according to Scuba's game by game stats.

I guess the pitch calling from the coaches is forcing him to continue to work on hitting sliders.

As we have one more weekend of scrimmages, you will see Jay put together his likely first team defense/offense vs the likely starters. It’s basically what was done tonight. Friday and Saturday scrimmages should be good indicators of what we will see opening night.

His second K was on a swing and miss FB. His last AB, he swung and missed a piped 2-0 FB before reaching out for one on the next pitch for an easy fly to center. It’s not just the offspeed he’s having issues with right now.

If anyone in the country can help him it's Cheif and Coach Johnson. They will make it happen

What does this mean? I have no idea how to read these “stat lines”. Jesus Christ

You don’t know how to read a ground out to 2nd, a fly out to centerfield, and a strikeout?

If you can’t read it, that’s your own fault.

Is there a reason he has to be a starter?

Oh yeah like it’s a normal stat line where “8” means fly out to center. Now that you’ve explained it I get but eat shite for expecting some one to just look at that and know wtf is happening

My bad for expecting someone to read baseball context into a fricking box score. Jesus, do you wear a fricking helmet and Velcro shoes?

What does this mean?

4-3 is ground out to second
If he doesn’t put a second number that means fly out or pop out. So 8 means fly to CF.

It’s a dumb way to list box score stats. It’s never been done here before or anywhere for that matter. And it’s confusing for no reason. And you post like someone who lacks hygiene

It’s really fricking easy to understand. Do you need someone to wipe your arse for you too? Come on Simple Jack…do better

He’s listing plays, not stats.

And you just think it’s dumb because you didn’t understand it.

There’s nothing wrong with the way it’s done. And it’s a small miracle we even have these to look at. So stop bitching about it and just thank Scuba for going out of his way to make it to every scrimmage and provide us with the box scores.
