Gold used 3 veteran pitchers, purple used 3 rookies. Also notice that purple pitchers all threw harder fastballs than gold pitchers, fwiw.

Ryan May pitched second for the Purple Team, not Turner. Ryan May is the walkon pitcher, and Turner Graham is the walkon catcher.

Thanks a lot, Scuba! I'm not sure whether to be happy about Gold's pitching or frustrated with Purple's bats. I'll go with the pitching.

I would have liked to see Andrew take those 3 bases. He can fly when he smells a possible triple.

Stevenson's 3b was hit to the base of the RF wall, over Graham's head. He slowed a bit coming into second but the dugout yelled for him to go. He slid in under the tag at 3rd.

Looks like the Gold could be your "starters" or "veterans" maybe. I noticed that last week with how the teams were split. Interesting having Stevenson bat 3rd.

Thanks, as always, for the updates SCUBA!

Heard that Stallings (redshirt freshman) hit 93 on the gun last Friday. He comes from the same parish that produced Russell Springer (Grant). I expect him to be a solid contributor the next four years.

I was there. He was 90-91 consistently. Only pitched 1 inning. He's been looking good so far.
