Reyzelman actually was starting games the first couple of weekends of the fall. He clearly had the strongest arm on the team and looked like our Friday night guy. The staff for some reason switched him to more of a closing role after the first couple of weekends. I know they want a guy they can bring in late to shut things down and it seems like they chose him. I can only speculate on the things that went into that decision.
As for Bollman. If I remember correctly D1baseball listed him fairly high in their impact JUCO players. 23 if I'm correct and higher than Gervase. I haven't seen him do anything spectacular yet at LSU but he hasn't looked terrible. Fowler has certainly struggled more than him. Of course the staff might look at Fowler as having future potential that Bollman doesn't have. Unless we are indeed talking about an injury or his quote being taken out of context.

From everything I've read from Coach Johnson, I don't know if a weekend rotation will ever be consistent. Expect a lot of bullpen games. He has been outspoken about how much he loves how Tampa Bay handles their pitching.
Ive heard several of his interviews and he said the opposite. He will do that to start this year, but the preference in the future is to have a traditional starting rotation

I'm ready to see some of the younger guys get some game time action. I think this coaching staff will put Ty Floyd and Garrett Edwards in better situations and choose pitches better than the last staff.

I'd really like to see D Fontenot, Reyz, and Floyd be the late game guys that could extend if need be.
Gervase hasn't been consistent enough for me to trust as the closer. Grant Taylor has been more consistent, but he's just a freshman. I don't know that we really need to name that role - just finish the game with the best available.
We have alot of bridge guys, too. If your starter gives you only a few innings, we have plenty of guys to bridge to the big arms on the backend.
This is a really deep pitching staff.

Meatball will be on with Hunt Palmer at 1230 today.

Just need some guys to separate themselves to make the decision making easier on the coaching staff

such a refreshing approach.
Will be interesting to see if pitchers actually improve from year to year.

LSU
BATON ROUGE, La. – For the eighth consecutive year, all of LSU’s baseball games may be viewed live as the Tigers will enjoy tremendous exposure during the 2022 season.
LSU is scheduled to make nine TV network appearances during the regular season – seven on the SEC Network, one on ESPN2 and one on ESPNU. That total will increase to 12 when network TV information is announced for LSU’s games in the Shriners’ Hospitals for Children College Classic, which will be played in Houston March 4-6.
In addition, 42 regular-season games will be carried on SEC Network +, the online platform available at SECNetwork.com and the WatchESPN app.
LSU’s game at New Orleans on April 26 will appear on ESPN+, the online subscription-based network, and viewing information for the Tigers’ February 23 game at Louisiana Tech is scheduled to be announced in the coming days.
All of the Tigers’ postseason games in the SEC and NCAA Tournaments will be carried on an ESPN network or online platform

only heard part of it.
he said if you've been paying attention you will have noticed which guys he is "stretching out"
said Money looks really good
Hilliard has looked really good
they have already stretched some guys to 70-75 pitches instead of doing that part during the early part of the season.
That's all i remember

Thanks I plan on listening on my way home from work. I’m just impatient

I'm listening to it now and I hope he becomes a regular guest on the show.

Jay and Meatball eat, sleep, and breathe baseball. Just relentless.

They communicate it in a way that is very engaging to listen to.
I will give props to Hunt on this, he's able to draw out the type of answers you're typically going to get on a baseball-centric podcast rather than on a local sports talk show. The questions are asked in a way that display he knows what he's asking. I have to guess that's something that makes them more likely to want to talk to him again.
Much different than someone like Moscona pretending he knows anything about baseball and just yelling inane questions about crowd size or some other bullshite.

They seem to have an actual plan. Whether it works out remains to be seen.
But, at least have one.

Hunt also crowd sourced questions from the chat and his twitter. So i suggest some every once in awhile

Yeah, he cleans them up and gives context. But at the very least it gives us a forum to get our questions answered.
I'd much rather some of the questions we can come up with over "HURR DURR ATTENDANCE"
Posted on 2/9/22 at 2:51 pm to ProjectP2294
For sure. Hunt is refreshing on the air
Posted on 2/9/22 at 2:56 pm to josh336
I like Hunt a lot already but he’s really going to shine come baseball season.
He’s going to be like Hanny just a lot less grouchy.

Hanny and hunt together would be the best radio show during baseball season. Even during football
