I was kidding, but Skip would give that honor to Antonini.

Hopefully no 20s on this year’s team.

This thread has lost its luster after you showed yourself an arse regarding the DC hire.

Milazzo was such a breath of fresh air last year.

With last season being cancelled, do all teams have just insane rosters? Do you think we will see above average pitching due to depth across the board or do you think offensive numbers will be higher?

If you see Travinski in person, he is big man. Same measurables as Saul Graza but more put together. This guy could become our most dangerous hitter if he can figure it out.

I've become a fan of Braiden Doughty. He is a decent hitter that will do anything for the team. He could of played for a lesser university but loves LSU. He is our "Rudy".

Simple answer is yes. There were only 5 rounds in the MLB draft, all existing players were basically given an extra year "if they wish", you still had incoming recruiting classes.

It's also going to inject a ton of talent into the JUCO leagues.

No idea if offensive numbers will be higher, the competition will be like playing a super regional every weekend in the SEC though.

Milazzo sat out the summer after having surgery on his arm. He's back 100% now, and was not seeing any ill affects of the surgery even in fall ball.

Travinski sat out the summer and the fall with injury. He's good to go right now as well.

Wyeth played for the Hays Larks in Kansas this summer in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League (which I think was a pop-up league this summer that pulled in teams from a few different leagues). He slashed .373/.473/.627 with 4 HRs. He also walked 11 times to only 10 strikeouts.

FWIW, Alex struggled throwing runners out early in the scrimmage on Saturday.

The White team stole, as I recall, 3 bases against him just in the first inning of the scrimmage with no runners thrown out. Scuba can jump in here and correct me if I'm misremembering (as President W. Bush once said) that.

Hopefully that was just some rust needing to be worked out.

ETA: I forgot to thank Adam for doing this preview again this year. So...thank you, Adam!!

With last years draft being only 5 rounds, and the NCAA allowing everyone to come back, wouldn’t that make 2021 draft insane with talent? I just don’t see how guys like Milazzo make that big of a jump, but here’s to hoping

The draft is going to be 20-30 rounds which hasn't been determined yet...yes there's going to a major influx of talent in both D-1 and JUCO. The question could then be asked will that help push some high school prospects to college? It couldn't hurt.

I’m skipping the criticism and just hoping for a full season.
