Also I will be giving out an 80 grade on one group this year, I think you already know.
Agreed. I edited the first page to clarify more.

Could probably go to two groups honestly.

My thoughts on the catcher position are that we don't see CJ Willis there ever. He will grow into his power and be 1B/OF with high upside. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing him get a shot at 3rd next year when his shoulder is better.
Mainieri said on media day I think that Drew Bianco's best pro position would be catcher. He'll play other positions, but I think he will be the primary back up until Garza is fully healed up.
Garza still has some swing and miss, but in both his JUCO season and his summer season he got better as the year went on and backloaded his home runs.
Mathis will be a solid hitter and solid defensively. I think he would actually be a good enough hitter to DH or play first when he's not catching, but we won't need him to do that. (And the rest days would probably be more valuable to him than the extra ABs)
Braden Doughty is a fine program player. He did hit pretty well in summer league this offseason. But I wouldn't expect him to be a contributor this year.

I agree on Willis. Would love for him to settle in at 1st and not have to scramble for back up infielders to put there every year

Agreed on everything you said. If Willis is at 1B long term they'll be able to slide Beloso to DH.

Adam, how good is Mathis and Garza defensively? I feel like being able to cut down other team’s running games are very important. Especially come postseason time. Last year I felt like teams ran at will. Even though that may not have been the case, it felt like it was coming off a season with Pap behind the plate

They're not as good as Papierski...he was something special.
I do think both are going to be an upgrade from what we saw last year. Feduccia just seemed out of it most of the time.
I like that Mathis is quick and athletic. Garza has a slightly stronger arm.

Project,
What's Doolittle up to? He seemed like a really good, raw freshman at the time.

Since he left LSU to focus on preparing for the draft (and then going undrafted) he played at Palm Beach State. A good baseball JUCO in Florida.
Last season he hit .352 with 5 homeruns, but struck out 31% of the time. This year he's 1 for 8 with a home run and 2 Ks.
He didn't play in the summer, that I could find.
And he's committed to noted baseball power Appalachian State.

I'll never understand why a freshman catcher thinks he's going to be a full time starter at a place like LSU... and leaves before the season even starts. He definitely would have played.

Honest to God, I really would like you to post your thoughts on each position in the entire second page you reserved.
At least give us something to talk about.
He won't because he has nothing more to say other than negative smart-arse remarks that he uses to shite on anyone who wants to post anything around here

Not doing one this year, got tired of getting shite right and only getting credit for the few things I got wrong.
