That's it. I thought it was quite extensive and insightful.

Are you planning an in-thread rebuttal to each of his posts or something?

Nah.

Unless he puts Reid as starting at 3B, I doubt there will be much to disagree with this year. It's almost all completely known already. Although it's sometimes fun watching the numbers jump around inexplicably from year to year for the same upperclassmen.

Honest to God, I really would like you to post your thoughts on each position in the entire second page you reserved.

At least give us something to talk about.

Adam, how was Saul Garza's defense in JUCO? Is he an above average defender?

I'll dig deeper when things aren't so crazy at work. We will seriously agree on most things to start the year. It's been so long since we've had so few questions.

This thread is the reason I started coming to TD. I laugh at this every year.

I think the power number is a little low

He's as good as if not better than Matthis, but they're both average. Which would still be better than what he got last year. Feduccia was painfully lazy at times last year for as good as he could move when he tried.

This is where I get annoyed with Adam's approach. He goes into detail about the starter then lists numbers... that are representative of the group overall. Which is a very odd way to grade, imo. On top of that, it's not the MLB scale. He's his own "college" scale. Basically, it's lower because doughty and matthis bring it down.

Yeah, if you grade the group then the power number should be 65

Doughty shouldn’t even be in consideration

I think just the position grade is representative of the entire group. The grade breakdown is just for Mathis. At least that's how I read it.

The numbers are specific to the player. So I think Mathis is a 55 power. Kris Bryant in college would have been an 80. So no the tools are not grouped or averaged as a whole because that would be beyond confusing to put together. The tools are for the projected starter only.

The overall group grade is based on everyone on the depth chart. For example the Rice starting pitching staff in 2003 would be an overall 80 grade.

Read my post below yours. Sorry for any confusion in years past and this is something I should clarify more.
