We have a battle between Chinea, Moore and Scivicque at catcher and first base, while Hale & Robertson duke it out for second. Unlike when we literally had nobody able to win the third base job (2010) or centerfield (2012), the reason for these position battles is because all of these guys are producing.

This team is deep as frick and I love it.

Just about every position is being pushed now and I love it.

Meh, I don't think Bregman, Ibarra, Laird and Stevenson have anything to worry about.

Some tough decisions ahead for PM for sure. It's entirely possible on of the catchers gets left out and Hale ends up at 1st. He played there some in the fall. If KRobs bat stays hot it's tough to put him on the bench. Same with Scivicque. Foster is really the only one who hasn't gotten hot yet but I think he's still safe for now.

They dont, but we still have players to push them in the OF and at 3B...honestly not sure about SS since we havent seen much of anyone but Bregman there so far.

In other words they are definite starters, but the guy behind them isnt some scrub anymore, it's a legitimate starting option.

I honestly think he gets bumped for the odd man out of the 1B-C debate. That whole group brings some power to the lineup.

Though the 2B debate is hot, my gut says Hale wins it this year but Kramer will still get quite a bit of time in there

What about McMullen in RF, with Hale at 2B and Robertson at DH? Assuming Foster continues to struggle.

He'll go 4-4 tomorrow and frick up everyone's guesses.

But between Hale and KRob, I would rather Kramer on defense

That is what I think will eventually occur.

I just think Robertson and probably Sciv will be trading time at DH. I believe Moore will end up at 1st with Chin behind the dish.

ETA: Though I do see Sciv there more, Kramer needs to fill out. Yes he can make some solid contact with the ball like he did tonight, I just think in the long run PM will go to Sciv since he can put a charge in a ball here and there.

If you're gonna DH either Hale or Robertson I'd rather see Hale at DH. If they both start I want KRob's glove at 2nd.

Chinea may end up being the odd man out IMO.

That's debatable though Hale has been solid, no errors at least. Kramer has just made some pretty nice plays when he's been givin' the oppurtunity

Hale has been just as impressive defensively and has a much bigger frame.

Yeah Im not convinced he should be an every day player. IS his defense really notably better than Moore's and Scivicque at C?

I don't know about y'all but I love arguing about how good these kids have been doing at there respective positions, and who's gonna have to get more or less play time.

First time in good while.

I certainly don't have a problem with Hale at 2nd. He's more than capable of playing the position. I just think KRob will make a few more outstanding plays. That could make all the difference in tight ball games down the strectch.

I think Foster may be the odd man out too. But it's a long season so this is a good problem to have.

Without a doubt, especially after last weekend. I like Hale's bat more, but giving KRob some more play time he may prove me otherwise.

Just think he needs to get a good GF to make him a couple PB&Js everyday. Dude needs some more meat on his bones.
