Our hitting runs so hot and cold. There are games/innings where we look unstoppable, and then we come back out stone cold dead. There's just no consistency, good or bad.

Good then, take up another hobby and quit making yourself miserable by watching LSU. If it’s that painful to watch, do something else

The attendence this year has been horrendous. I got to imagine i can finally move up next year to better seats.

I think you will have a decent shot. The change in tax laws will have an impact on many people.

Id also add labas to those i like watching. Hope he starts sunday, i think he can be pretty good

Same here. Hilliard has got to be the biggest pleasant surprise though. Reminds me of the impact that Mestepey had his freshman year in 2001, as far as being unexpected goes.

I have a friend whose brother played back in the gorilla ball days. He said it best, with the change in the balls and bat, LSU baseball is just boring. Add losing to the mix, not a great night out...

Next year's team will be much improved both offensively and in pitching. Freshmen will become sophomores, injured players will be healthy and the incoming recruiting class is loaded.

I don't like agreeing with you, but you're right.

This year's dip tends to make me believe that Paul Maineiri's just about run his course in Tigertown. When left to his own devices, he follows up success not with renewed focus but with questionable hiring tactics that yield poor recruiting and even worse talent development. It may just be time to cut bait, restring and recast.

Not a fan of Hobbit Paul and his band of multi-hued shoe Hobbits.

Not a unified team; just a collection of individuals doing their own thing.

Paul and Nikki. Don't let the door hit yall on the butt on the way out of BR........

LSU missed a regional in 1988. They didn't miss another until Laval's last year (and it cost him). This will be PM's second miss since winning the CWS (not a good sign).

The 09/10 rule that reduced rosters to 27 players has really changed the dynamics. Not only did it create more parity...it made it harder to absorb injuries.

Poche', Lange, Freeman, Kramer, Deichmann. When you lose all of these guys at once, that is a big hit talent-wise and leadership-wise. Throw in all the injuries, and you have a season where the team spends 50 games trying to find itself.

If you choose to have this attitude, then that is fine. I choose to support my university and the kids who are out there busting their asses and trying their best to live up to the ridiculous expectations that a lot of our "fans" have.

What’s ridiculous about wanting more consistency? Also, are these kids or university paying us fans to attend the games? How about all the TAF donors that pay thousands of dollars and are simply wanting a viable and consistent product on the field?

Do you think LSU baseball has been anything but the model of consistency for the last 30 years?

Also newsflash, this year isn’t over like so many of you want to think it is

I’m speaking of all major LSU sports where a lot of money is spent on tickets. LSU was in the championship last year in baseball. Absolutely, they’ve been consistent over the past 30 years, but that’s a large sample size. People are upset because, notwithstanding injuries, they expected more from this team. I mean, look at the preseason comments and excitement about this year’s team. Maybe upset and disappointment is too harsh of words, but fans are definitely perplexed.

Well Lou, maybe you should take your spoiled & entitled attitude and just quit watching, reading, or posting about the Tigers.
Then you won't have these stressful & boring things in your life anymore.

We should get everyone back along with some pitching upgrades from recruiting.

The season isn’t over. They could get hot and win the whole damn thing!

LSU Baseball is always fun to watch.....win or lose. You folks in BR are so lucky. You can load up the kidos, head out to "the Box" and chill out. Where else can you spend an absolutely gorgeous Sunday afternoon? Nothing like a university town to keep your occupied with athletic events throughout the year. Fun!

It's just there is not one facet of the game that you can get excited about. It's like watching paint dry.
