I know you do. I see you in your seat almost every home game.

I knew this was going to be a difficult year even before all of the injuries.

I was so sure we'd struggle this season that for the first time in over a decade we made vacation reservations (in January) to go to Alaska in June starting the Thursday before the super-regionals start.

LSU baseball fans are so entitled.....especially the ones who post on this board and don't even go to games

Its not just baseball, but there are a large number of completely ignorant ones. I seriously doubt they even watch many games. Maybe have it on to check the score, then look at box scores and rant threads to find what they will complain about today. Its pretty sad and pathetic.

Like you, I make almost all of the games regardless of how the team is doing. Since 1993 I guess I've missed an average of 2 games a season, usually due to Mother's Day, with a few perfect attendance seasons mixed in.

Same here. We usually don't even talk about scheduling a vacation until after the CWS, but not this year! The silver lining is all of the money I am going to save by not going to Omaha. The cost of that trip has increased exponentially in the last 10 or so years.

Agreed.

It must be something about an anonymous message board that seems to attract a high percentage of Monday morning fans who criticize players and coaches just to make themselves feel better about their insignificant lives.

If this team can manage to get into a regional they will be a very very tough out for somebody. I wouldn't bank on them winning a super, but with the right pairing they could possibly make noise in a region.

Yeah, the problem with all of this is the preseason hype and expectations for this team. Before the Notre Dame series, if anyone made any comments about a down year they were instantly berated.

Wait until Sunday, they'll be half empty at the start.

Speaking of N.D., has there been any improvement since Feb?

It’s interesting the way you go ad hominem while making a legion of assumptions.

Boring and Pavlovian in its consistency. But interesting nonetheless.

They basically play in a regional every weekend. How's that working out?

I understand that top 10 baseball programs have down years. Skip had a few too.

LSU missed a regional in 1988. They didn't miss another until Laval's last year (and it cost him). This will be PM's second miss since winning the CWS (not a good sign).

The CWS is just too long and drawn out now with teams playing every other day.

I understand how the local businesses and ESPN want it that way but there's just too much down time between LSU games. It tends to exceed my attention span.

You can only drive out to Barrett's so many times....

I'm pretty sure from now on when LSU goes to Omaha I'm going to wait and go only if we make the Championship Series. Or, maybe go for the first two guaranteed games and then go back if we make the finals.

Is it your opinion that college baseball is the same now as it was 25 years ago? Nothing has changed to make more teams competitive thus making it more difficult to sustain winning at a high level?
