I can't imagine sitting next to that idiot the whole game. One of us is going out.

Not a hard hit ground ball, no way they would've gotten the runner at 2nd with the tag, get the guy who was going to be in scoring position

no jacoby should have thrown it to first once the runner was on his way back. the run would have counted b/c the force was off but we still would have been out of the inning once we had the other guy in a pickle

It should have either been a throw to the plate or he should have tried the double.

Running at the baserunner is the last option he should have went with.

Mental mistake.

true, but that is alot easier said than done in that type of quick decision, not a very routine play

Ground out to 3rd, nice play by Pippin. 1 out.

Throwing to the plate in that situation was never even considered. 3rd inning only the corner men were thinking about going home.

Who's more annoying -- the guy in the stands or Swoboda?
guy in the stands. Swoboda's quiet enough that you can actually tune him out.

i can agree he should've thrown to 2nd, but his decision to go after the runner wasn't bad, if that guy doesn't have the presence of mind to start running back he turns 2

Probably, but a soft hit ball like that lets you throw home.

either way, running the guy back to 1st was the wrong way to go.

never would have gotten the guy at the plate with that slow of ground ball

not very easy to do when you are charging the ball like that

he made the right play
