Look who we played. You and I can hit decent against Grambling, UNO, and Texas Southern.

Stop pumping sunshine. We can't hit a damn thing right now. I'd be in favor of making some moves within the lineup and bringing in new faces.

things definitely need to change I just don't feel like we need to freak out yet. If we get swept by Florida or win 1-0 on Friday than blown out the next two games ok we have something to be concerned about. LSU is in decent shape. You guys are overreacting to a loss.

You talk about potential and try to relate that to reality. The reality is that we hit well against cupcakes. And since the pitching got difficult, it has thrown our guys off. Can they rebound? Yes. But you can't ignore these struggles as if it's not a part of who these players are as hitters. A .250 guys at the end of the year is a .250 guy, slumps included.

LSU hitting looked great in the pre SEC play, this is why I think we have potential.

I think he was using that as a requirement for CPM. Of course we need to host every year but it shouldn't be a requirement.

the whole lineup just has no confidence right now. They need something good to happen and hopefully it will build some confidence. Hitting seems to be contagious.

Dude...I was trolling you guys. 6 NC's in a 20 year period is unheard of. We cannot win every game. I know that. Just get ready for the meltdown if LSU drops a series to Florida or Miss. State.

Baseball is not the same without the big bats and the legal juicing of the 90's. It's all good. I have been proud of this program since Skip took over. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Pitching is good enough but the hitting does need to get fixed.

yes I understand this, but looking at our current line up and who has hit well in the past it is hard to say that we won't turn this around.

Bregman, no-one would say he is a bad hitter is sub .200 in SEC play
Ibarra, great hitter from last year bad stretch now
McMullen, was hitting well in SEC play than had 3 DP in 2 games
Stevenson, seems to be a much better hitter maybe it will stop once he gets more bats vs good pitchers
Scivicque, he looks like a good hitter and has had a good start to the SEC.

so 3 guys we know have hit well against good arms.
2 who should be able to
so 4 guys we aren't so sure about.

we are 3-2-1 in SEC play only .5 games out of first. we only have 5 losses on the season so far and with our pitching we are in contention to win every game. I'm concerned about the hitting too, but I think it picks up, but some of you guys are overreacting.

This. If Ibarra, Rhymes and Bregman don't go 0 for 24 in Omaha, things would have been different.

LSU should host a regional every year in Baton Rouge. At the very least.

The box doesn't need to be empty for post season play. That's ridiculous.

I blame this on Skips stolen rings. If those kids never got caught, we'd still be winning.

so if LSU doesn't host a regional this year CPM should be shown the door?

I'm starting to form the opinion that Bregman may not be the once in a generation player that we once thought he was. Sure, he's a good player, but I'm not sure he is someone that you would form the rest of your team around. He's a below-to-average fielder, a good hitter with a chance to hit a few home runs, but we are seeing his inability to hit junk pitches when he has no one in the lineup behind him to protect him from that.

Last season, Katz was the focal point of our lineup and he excelled at it and with his bat protecting the three-hole, Bregman got a lot of pitches to hit and it kind of inflated his numbers a bit. So far this season, Bregman has been the biggest disappointment not named Cody Glenn and it really isn't that close.

Bregman hit the ball well. He just didn't get any hits. Ibarra too.

come on ell don't be like HCB, to think that bregman, Ibarra, and McMullen are all going to continue to hit like crap is stupid.

All great hitters go on slumps, if someone like Pujols has a couple of weeks of batting sub .200 would you than turn and say that he was a bad hitter no. Bregman will turn it around, Ibarra should but maybe not, and McMullen has had bad luck he should hit well. I know I'm talking about should and not focusing on reality, but this team is clearly on a slump. When Bregman has 3 hits in SEC play it is clear we are slumping.
