Baseball Injury Update
Update per PM:

Feduccia unlikely to catch all weekend.

Nick Webre has essentially won the 1B job for now.

Per Luke Johnson:

Bryce Jordan to start at catcher Friday night and Nick Webre will start at 1B. Feduccia is not ready per PM. PM also said we could see Bain at 2B on Saturday.

Coomes was not allowed to throw at Wednesday’s practice, and Mainieri wanted him to have the extra day of rest. He said it was likely Coomes would be back in the starting lineup Saturday.

But, even if Coomes appears in the starting lineup Saturday, Mainieri said not to expect Jordan to slide back to first base.

Sounds like PM is in midseason form already with the tinkering.

Injuries. That’s all this is. Bryce is the only catcher that can throw right now apparently.

Bain, Mainieri said, gives LSU some more potential for extra base hits than current second basemen Brandt Broussard and Hal Hughes.

Who’s next to get butt hurt and transfer, Broussard or Hughes?
