The only one I might be confident would be better than PM is Corbin...maybe.
Mainieri > Corbin

It would be great if we knew all of those coaches' current compensation.
This is Vitello's contract unless it's been updated since 2017 (which is possible):
Contract Year - Base Pay
June 7, 2017 - June 30, 2018 - $235,000
July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019 - $275,000
July 1, 2019- June30, 2020 - $300,000
July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021 - $315,000
July 1, 2021 - June30, 2022 - $315,000
The whole 20 page document is here: LINK
It's kind of ridiculous how easy that was to find by Googling "Tony Vitello contract." I honestly didn't expect that to just be out there on Google.
ETA: There is more comp than what I listed. He gets like $200k on top of those numbers.

You do realize you put more work into this than the university did/will do. Either go to work for them or move on.

You don't think Woodward will do his due diligence in finding a good coach?

I would feel great about Tadlock, Mcconell, or Godwin.

I hope he does have as much as the "fantasy AD" who started this thread did.

Why did you list Robichaux and Bianco?
One has a losing record at the moment and is about to miss his 3rd straight postseason with the most resources in his conference
The other one has been at an SEC school for 20 years, has had plenty of talent and only made the CWS one time
Vitello was the recruiter for those good TCU teams and most of the players on last years Arkansas team

Something has to be done. I don’t dislike coach Mainieri but I cannot see a positive uptick this season or next season, considering the players we are losing after this season.
I am not a baseball scout nor coach. Something is missing with the development and attitude of this year’s squad. Last season was no great shakes either.
Everything should be evaluated from the players to the baseball bats to the temperature of the locker room showers. The last two seasons are unacceptable and these kids have quit. That’s on the coaches.

apparently there is some chatter FSU may be going after Vitello. I think he's a fantastic young coach. Really would suck for Tennessee. They finally seem to be moving in the right direction and now may lose that coach and have to start over again.

Good info. Thanks for compiling this.

I’m pretty sure Joe Alleva won’t be the next “search.”

Why are you being such a jackass? There have been about 50 threads made about other coaches, and all of them were just rantards naming the coaches they actually knew. This has actual info.

Only way O’Connor comes to LSU is if Mainieri retires and he asks him to be his successor. O’Connor comes from CPM coaching tree and they are friends. He isn’t coming to LSU if CPM is fired.
I would like to have Schloss, Corbin, Sully, McDonnell, etc but I just don’t see those guys leaving jobs that they won’t get fired for twenty years to come to LSU where they will fire you for not winning in Omaha enough.
Vitello is my number one choice of guys that I think LSU can get. Matt Deggs at Sam Houston State is someone to look into as well.

Started HCing TCU at 32. Took them to 4 straight CWS. I’ve seen all of the facilities at TCU. They’re nothing compared to LSU. With LSU’s full backing, I have no doubt he could put a consistent, winning product on the field time and again for the Tiger faithful.

Riser only makes $63k? Holy shite
Posted on 5/10/19 at 2:26 pm to JJ27
Thing about Schlossnagle is it seems he is content staying there. State offered him a stack of money and a brand new stadium and he turned them down. My gut tells me he'll never leave TCU.
