Could have played the game earlier today with the opposing coaches approval as the game is on SEC+.
Game gets called practically 20 min after they push it back to 7:30.

Probably some truth there. I'm sure the OF footing is pretty bad,though (prob not too much better tomorrow, if at all). I think PM's banking on a few things: South Carolina's weekend series record in game 1s is bad and tomorrow could resemble a game 1, Labas shoving tomorrow for 6-7, and our bullpen being rested/shortened. I'll let you know how I feel about it tomorrow night or Sunday. Hindsight.

Really had a nice semi-clear not much rain the last little while. The field isn't going to be any drier tomorrow. They should have tried to play as much as they could tonight. Hell LSU is going to have to committee it for a game this weekend anyways. If Paul was scared about stoppages just make game 2 your by committee game and throw Labas as much as you can tomorrow for game 3.

I think the point is that a Fri-Sun can't go into Monday, so why should a series that starts on Thursday get the benefit of an extra day. Personally, I think all series should make every effort to get played even if it does take an extra day.

You’re nuts. This favors the team with an erratic bullpen. That’s us! Labas can go 6, give us a lead, and we only have to hold it one inning. Than we only need to patch together seven innings of bullpen for game 3.
