He was safe. Slid in and touched the plate with his left hand before he was tagged. It was pretty close though.

Damn, gotta get a better relay throw. Was a quick throw, but getting the ball up the third base line is important as it allows Romero to block the plate.
Another hindsight wtf, but why go with Gilbert there? Bugg was warm and Gilbert threw 30+ on Friday.
Well crap....

No idea why Reynolds was taken out. We have no reason to save anyone at this point.

Well dam. Guess we'll have to score some more runs. Need them to stay sharp at the plate. No lead is safe. And if it is then keep scoring anyway because frick these guys.

I don't think 8 runs are going to be enough.

Deichmann looked so uncomfortable on that.

Duplantis, Fraley, Beau Jordan due up for some more crookedness in the bottom of the 6th

Nah, we're fine. Bugg then Newman. 3 run lead should be enough.

Earlier I was going to say he's been serviceable at 3rd, but I like how he plays there.

Got the top of the order coming up. These boys better be primed for a raping of the run scoring variety. I'mean ready.
